Marvel Legends HasLabs

I do think MTO is probably going to replace Haslabs. Smaller projects that are easier to clear. Somewhat hoping they eventually go for Cameron Hodge or Brood Queen that way.
I think that's exactly right, and it seems like they can target a wider range of projects than would have been fit for the Haslab model. Relatively smaller things like Dragon Man, Mephisto, or a hypothetical Hodge/Brood Queen, all the way up to Haslab-sized projects like the Sentinel and Arctic Hiss. So, a big boy Mangog could fit right into that without compromising his size.

Yeah. And MTO bypasses so much of the crowdfund community commentary I loathe. I think it's largely just a better model all around for them. One thing I wonder is what the margins are on the cost for them. There must be some lower bound beyond which they'd cancel one of these, surely. If MTO Apocalypse only had one preorder, I can't imagine they'd still make it. Of course it'll be a lower number than for the gargantuan Haslabs, but still, it must be there.

It's a self-correcting issue. Let's say they only get 10 pre-orders for Mangog. They actually make 30 of him and secretly sell the other 20 for 5x the price on eBay to people who "missed" the preorder window.
