Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I’m fairly certain that photoshop technique is only utilized because the big box online retailers want to ensure that the items are to scale via their product descriptions and measurements. That way they can show you that “in this box you will receive two 6” action figures. If they showed them actually to scale some customers might not pick up on the fact that 1/12 scale is not the same thing as 6” across the board. Some figures will be larger than the others.

Do you care aside from Photoshop manipulation which I also am never in favor of? Omega Red is supposed to tower over War Machine since he's 6' 11".
No I don't expect War Machine to be Omega Red's height, it's just an American false advertising issue that Hasbro and Mattel abuse. Now, if you're asking if I'd like a War Machine in Omega Red's size, absolutely. I'd put him with my Masterverse figures as Omega Red scales great with them. Would be a good use for all these duplicates lol. But no I wasn't expecting it and it doesn't make sense for Marvel Legends. Hasbro just lazily says "two 6" figures" which is untrue, and the photoshop image just feels like a lie.

Side-note on this pack, I'm in the process of repainting War Machine's legs, and disassembling/adding a thin layer of super glue to everything the knee pegs touch is helping firm up his knee joints quite a bit, probably worth while to anyone else who hates these floppy mess knees he has.

I did that to a few of the older figures with different levels of success. Mainly the figures on the female backs because their knees are worse across the board. I think I did both Magiks, pinned Laura's, and the Walgreens New Mutant bodies I have. Its kinda worked on the small teen buck, but the New Mutant legs still are gummy. Less then it used to be, but they still bend after a while.

I apologize if I sound like a broken record but, I am still a little apprehensive about Shuma/Gargantos's tentacle material. In this vid, whoever is fiddling with him says things like "I see what he means by it being hollow in there" and "it feels like a tube actually" and "it feels weird. It almost feels like, squishy".

Did any of you adventurous folk who went to SDCC also get to handle him at the breakfast thing? And, if so, do you have any thoughts on the matter?
For anyone who owns Maximum Hulk, does the tentacle material seem to be the same stuff used for Hulk's tiddies?

I've been seeing a post on Facebook where some guy's maximum Hulk has started having the chest overlay crack in several places. I didn't pick him up but I'm hoping Shuma doesn't do the same.

Riiiiight?!?!?! If Shuma does start cracking after minimal play, I'm going to go apeshit. ...and I might even fling some.

Here's my hot take: For the price we are being charged, they really should have constructed each of his tentacles from 5 or 6 standard plastic components with both pivot and hinge articulation. Then, maybe have the last 2 inches be standard bendy wire technology.
When you look at Dragon Man's tail, it looks like it was sculpted in successive segments that could have easily allowed for said articulation and resulted in a much more poseable/playable toy. I imagine it would have functioned kind of like one of those hard plastic Rubik's puzzle snakes from the 80s.

Yes, I'll be very disappointed if Shuma / Gargantos has any of those breakage/fraying/tearage issues. He is by far my most anticipated and most desired figure from the Gamerverse MvC stuff.

I haven't opened my Maximum Hulk yet and I may not. I've already come to the conclusion that I prefer the Toy Biz 20th anniversary tribute release anyway (which I also haven't opened). Max Hulk might get sold on ebay down the line without me ever opening him.

At this point Shuma is the only "MvC" item I haven't ordered, I just don't trust that build. I'd also like him to be a bit smaller, curvier, thicker like the game sprite, but that is second to doubts over the build quality.

I didn't order Shuma for the same reason. Too expensive just to have it maybe deteriorate over a couple years, maybe months. He looks cool, but I just can't get past the price for what it is.

I got an email from Amazon this morning that Wolverine/Samurai have been moved up to October 20. I wouldn't be surprised if it moves up again from there since it's already out overseas.
