Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Yeah, but those mask ears, tho...

Also, how much will the two-pack be? If it's $60ish (don't laugh, I know we're completely f***ed with this tariffs bullsh**), I'd rather get an extra figure for that extra $10ish, lol

Those ears on Logan can definitely be straightened out. The loose sample were clearly warped but the packaged sample and the mock sample used in the photo spreads look way better by comparison. And they are really accurate to the key art that was used for the model sheets for Wolverine in the various games. I’m really impressed by the claws though. They look about as long as the Kaiyodo claws and I’m glad Hasbro really leaned into how long they were in those games. This is the best Wolverine they have ever done full stop

This photo is proof that every figure needs ball-jointed ankles, a la the Red Onslaught wave Taskmaster. You'd have way more posing options if you could position his feet differently.

I feel like I'm the only one worried that they're making Wolverine too tall again. Am I crazy?
I'm concerned, though I don't want to jump the gun until we see it in hand.

IMO, the only company that ever got Wolverine's size right was Hasbro with their Juggernaut wave Wolverine body. Even then, I wouldn't have minded if he were smaller.
Are Wolverine and Juggernaut all new?
Not sure about Wolverine, but I think yes for both.
Psylocke is just stunning. All those straps sculpted.. The heads are gorgeous.. just beautiful.
I thought the same thing about the sculpted straps. It's about time.
I just wish these three figures weren't in hostage 2 packs... I just do not need Blue Venom, Silver Samurai, or Thanos..
Psylocke/Thanos is like the first time in my life that I've wanted both figures in a two-pack. I honestly don't know what to do with myself.
Blasphemy, I know, but I don't care about the game and will be happy to have a giant Shuma to use as a comic character.
Sorry, this is a legally distinct character called Gargantos. If you display Gargantos under any other name, even just in your head, legal action will be taken.

This wave is solid. I love all of the improvements and they look specially good together as a collection. Now I want them to release Iceman, Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, Magneto and Spiral in this style so i can have my X-Men Arcade display.

Psylocke is a HUGE improvement on the previous figure. I love the colors on her, the sculpted details on her costume and the ton of amazing new accessories. That being said, as a Betsy super fan of course I have some nitpicks:

1. I really dislike her huge thighs. I know it's accurate to the game but I was hoping for something that would blend better with comic figures as well.

2. In the same vein, her face is very nice and I appreciate they are giving us two head options but she's just not pretty enough. Specially comparing to recent female releases (Crystal and X-23 come to mind). They still haven't nailed her Jim Lee Psylocke gorgeousness.

3. A bummer I have to buy a Thanos to get her. Would love is she came with another X-character. Spiral would have been a perfect fit. But would also love if she came with Omega Red or Silver Samurai. It would have made way more sense.

4. But the only really worse part is that she'll be a Target exclusive. It will be a frigging nightmare for us European fans to get her, specially seeing how so many fans overall seem to really want her. Poor decision. They better release her in a Retro card.

Well crap I want almost every Gamerverse figure they showed. Cap is a must have. I mean like yesterday. I have been wanting butterfly joints on him forever. I love the beefier size too. I can take or leave the chainmail since almost every Cap I have ever owned hasn't had it until recently. Probably will sell off Venom as the light blue throws me off. We'll see once I have it. Wolverine and Psylocke-yes please. The villains included in the 2 packs I'm not sure I need. I definitely want Juggy and Garanthos if I can afford them. Man a great showing during this stream!

Yeah - I'm happy with Juggernaut-wave Wolvie, but it seems like the Astonishing Wolverine even upped the size a hair. And with how big this new Wolverine is even crouched over, I'm really worried because he actually looks quite big. He's nearly the same height as Silver Samurai in the box. If they wasted an excellent new body by making it way too big I'm going to be pissed. It would be such an incredibly stupid and easy-to-see mistake.

Points on this front, though: Hasbro hid the thigh swivel really well in Psylocke's straps so it's not an eyesore. It looks like the lowest skin portion is paint but the upper parts seems to be skintone plastic.

I agree that neither face really hits the mark for a Jim Lee Cyclops - but I *bet* she's going to be re-released in probably yet another two-pack with blue Archangel - the inevitable Crimson Dawn set. As long as she gets both heads, and he gets a short hair/long hair look.

But now I wonder if I should just go ahead and repaint the extra red Angel I got because it's not coming this year...

I mean based on these sprites I’d say that this Wolverine is supposed to be in the beefy side and even remarkably tall. His legs are normally bent for a majority of the match but when Logan’s legs are fully extended compared to someone like Harada’s, you can see that they are clearly twice as thick and just as long. And look at how long his arms are too. His reach is just as long as the Samurai’s which would also imply that he is not a man of short stature in these games but he is just standing crouched. So some liberties were taken that definitely veer from the comics in terms of Wolverine’s stature and build in the games but it works perfectly figure wise for a 1:1 translation for the in game counterpart

Yeah, I was half expecting the Crimson Dawn mark since she had it in the concept art, but it wasn't on the Sprite so I guess that tracks.

I have never heard the term "sprite" used in relation to videogames until this thread. Learned something.

The trouble is, this will definitely be used for comic Wolverines in the future.

I've been thinking this for years, I've always hated boot cuts. They're always super ugly, even when not in use. Mcfarlane got so much wrong, but the ankle ball joints he uses on his figures (of which I own very few) are one of the few things I like a lot. Knowing ML, it'll probably take a decade for these joints to be on a standard, all-purpose base body. But I'm still happy to see it. The torso with double balls, too. Splendid stuff.

Not sold on this wave. Every new body is a great upgrade. Shuma-Gorath is overdue. Otherwise kinda half-baked. Not a fan of the new parts/heads to evoke the Bengus' stylization of the Marvel characters that otherwise keep it realistic so it "matches" the rest of the line. Full Bengus style heads would feel so much less uncanny. And with the colorschemes of some of these, they're not gonna match regardless. All the mostly new molds are going to get standard comic releases soon enough, anyways.

War Machine is weird. The blue is way too dark, should be whiter, and he has gunmetal thighs and silver knees in all the Capcom art. I wish the colorscheme were closer!

I'm glad they're finding new ways to keep evergreen looks of staple characters available, though.

I'm very happy for you. Masque and Crossbones and Luke and Danny last year were rare instances for me of wanting both characters/figures.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but just to put it out there (again, if the case), I look forward to seeing Psylocke reused for Elektra.

I hope to see her too but I kind of want to see Rlektra in her alternate red costume in the headband rather than the full skull cap. She’d make a fine counterpart to the Fall From Grace Daredevil figure from a few years ago especially since that costume is getting a second wind in the comics recently
