Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Ooh, I'm glad you mentioned that neck joint, Akat. Limited range on a Spidey neck is a deal breaker for me these days, and I was already on the fence about getting any of these video game Spideys.

Yeah it’s a weird choice for a neck joint for Symbiote Spider-Man. You can half place the head on the neck for more range.

Brooklyn 2099 has a neck hinge and butterfly joints. But just an ab crunch. Symbiote Spidey has two-part torso articulation like Maximum Spidey has—deep ab crunch plus the thoracic joint for a lot of range.

Neither are perfect exactly, but it’s the cool and unique aesthetics of the sculpt and designs that are the biggest appeal for me.

Pulse just gave me a heart attack - DHL says Black Cat was delivered on Thursday last week (she was not) but I think they handed her off to USPS. Apparently I’ve got two packages from Pulse today, neither of which I got any pings from DHL about.

Did anyone pick up the Miles upgrade suit figure? I liked the other two costumes in this wave so much I’m tempted to get all three.

I did and for the same reason. Actually when it was solicited my assumption was that it was Peter. When I saw him live I was like "they mislabeled the package." Then I realized it actually was Miles and bought it. It's a nice figure, new sculpt.

Just got Felicia. I like her overall, but she's a little gummy and her left bicep swivel is kinda stuck, and her ponytail keeps wanting to fall out. My most anticipated figure from the wave, but maybe I amped myself up too much, cos I wish she was better. Head sculpt is great though.

Gummy plastic is quietly (or not depending on where you talk Legends) becoming a problem for this line. The last Legends figure I bought was the Walmart Venom, so I haven't bought anything recently, but I have seen reviews where people are bending shins and arms like they're rubber. And that Venom is gummier than I'd like. I hope these more expensive two-packs at least include better quality plastic. I'm going to be really grouchy if that MvC Wolverine and Silver Samurai set turns out like some of these recent, non-Max, releases.

For me, War Machine is a one-and-done character. I think that first release knocked it out of the park, won't need another one ever.

Definitely runing into a few gummy figures lately, but I kinda wonder if it it's sculpt-specfic. I got the new Jean Grey on the same day and she wasn't gummy at all, and for the rest of the Gamerverse wave, two Miles and two Peters were solid, good material. Black Cat's definitely gummy (really struggling to get full ROM out of her right arm, too).

That's good the new Jean isn't gummy. I've had bad luck in the past with that similar profile (I don't think I have any of the pinless females though). It could just be factory dependent or batch. I have no idea if there's any correlation between cost and how gummy the plastic is. It would just suck if suddenly firmer plastic became a marketing gimmick for the more expensive figures and the gummy output the norm for the regular priced stuff.

Actually her fingers on the open hands were a bit softer than the plastic usually is, I will say that, but the legs and arms were what I'd call the right level of solid - strong enough to hold a pose for a LONG time, decent ratcheting but nothing that made her hard to pose. Poor Felicia's like a Twizzler.

Twizzler? Dang. My version's legs are sturdier than her arms, but I wouldn't describe the arms as bendy.

I can concur that Jean feels like a good action figure.

I have the reverse - after being out of the packaging for 24 hours, her legs aren't as rubbery as they were yesterday, but her arms are really gummy. The bicep swivels are so wobbly I think I'm going to rip them off by accident. Super bummed out cos this was one of my most-wanted figures they revealed this year.
