Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies and Streaming Series Discussion

I cannot wait for this movie. It looks so good.

Will it be as good as Superman? I hope so.

I'll be seeing it with the comic con crowd, so you know they'll be up for it. Let's see if the rest of the world is, too.

I'm considering buying the Galactus popcorn bucket early because it will likely be sold out in my area by the time the movie comes out. Can anyone confirm without anything more than a yes or no (please) if Galactus is ever seen that sized compared to the characters in any of the media already released? I'm really trying to avoid everything FF and if it's movie accurate that could sway me towards making this crazy purchase.

I saw this trailer before Superman today. It smashed my expectations to pieces. I'm officially nervous about this movie.

My hopes were dashed when I saw the interaction between Thing and the passerby at 0:20. Why is Marvel afraid to be silly now? Everything is detached and ironic. You have a giant rock man. He can't earnestly say, "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME?"

C'mon.

Yeah, they’re not giving that away in the trailer. Would they drag it out like they did Cap’s battle cry? I doubt it, but that did go over well so I guess we’ll see.

It doesn't really bother me either, but I can see how fans might be bummed. While not a full origin story, it's clear that the 4 are still relatively new- maybe only a year or two old at this point. Ben is probably still coming to terms with his appearance and how he's portrayed by the media, and methinks him finally saying the catchphrase (we all know he will eventually) is him coming to terms with how he looks now. It's not gonna be an "Avengers, Assemble!" moment, nor should it be, but I think it's kinda cool that they're allowing the line to have some weight to it, and not just some quirky thing he says because he's a New Yorker.

If they weren't going to have him say it, I would think they'd just not bring it up at all. I agree the "I'm not gonna say it" is probably a tease for when he says it.

I don't know that I would say avoiding so much. Whedon consciously chose to save it. I still don't see it as Marvel feeling it was too silly or anything
