Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

WOW! She looks very glossy but very good!

Did you sculpt that yourself or is that a 3D print others can purchase?

The recipe is Sharon Carter, JJ and whose torso?

Huh, that looks great! Also thank you since I know your effort only increases the chances of a Hasbro figure now.

Honestly, here's hoping. I would much prefer an official version. Thank you <3

Thank you! I commissioned the sculpt from Craniac Studios and painted it. The recipe is Puff Adder Wave Yelena upper torso, Black Widow wave Yelena lower torso, MCU Sharon Carter legs, MCU Jessica Jones jacket and arms.

Ahh, Craniac. Were you happy with your experience with them? I thought about commissioning some Buffy character heads from them but wasn't thrilled with the two I did purchase as a tryout. They look just a little too soft? And I think they can do faces, but the hairstyles rarely look right.

Better than nothing, though.

I'm happy enough; they're more expensive than a lot of the other 3D printers in the community but I don't have instagram anymore, so I lost access to anyone else I would have used. My one complaint is that their heads are typically just -slightly- too big, but otherwise I'm pleased with the results. CollectibleCarnage, VonShoeToys, and DaishoCreations3D on Etsy are also great options.

Trade show signage showed off the Brand New Day Spidey costume and there are leaks that the villains will be
Scorpion, Tombstone, and Boomerang!

Holy cow that Echo custom is fantastic - great job making the face really work for the actor given there wasn't an existing mold to work with!

Just had Lizard arrive. I wasn't sure I needed him, but I kinda like having Uncanny Valley Rhys Ifans Lizard Face in my collection. I'm going to entertain myself posing him fighting Maximum Spidey after I finish up work.

I want Hammer drones. Drone better.

I sort of wish I had a ripped apart white lab coat I could put on him
This wish prompted this idea, which I promptly did as soon as Lizard arrived this morning:

It's Retro Beast's lab coat. It fits and you can shred it to your heart's desire! :)

I wish this figure came with his cure accessory - SOMETHING. His two right hands are almost the same pose, so that's a little weird and one of them is designed to hold something. I thought I would use the open mouth head, but the mold lines on the jaw are so prominent and the pink of his mouth is so flat that I don't like it at all - looks cheap.

Now that I have Lizard out of the box, this might be the biggest swing in "I shouldn't have bothered preordering, what was I thinking" to "THIS FIGURE IS SO FUN" I've had in a while. He's just a blast to pose! My only gripe has nothing to do with the toy and all to do with the uncanny valley nature of the movie's design for his face, and that I wish he had something between passive/blank and mouth open yelling for a face sculpt, maybe an angry or gritted teeth version. But otherwise, this is such a goofily fun figure to mess with. I really like him.
