Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Anywho, in order to keep things at least somewhat on topic- @Soundswipe - show us some pics of them 'bolts, my friend! Let us live vicariously through you until ours arrive!

Lol! I’m at work, so I’ll have to get you guys some shots of Red Guardian later, but I did bring Yelena with me! The office lighting isn’t really doing her any justice. The headsculpt looks much better in person

I think it's the studios themselves that are at least partially responsible. Streaming really has done catastrophic damage to the theatrical industry; if folks know they can see a movie they're not sure about at home in a matter of weeks, why waste time and money at the movies?

More than "at least partly", IMO. You're right about all that, but also these studios ordered more and more and MOAR!!! superhero content to fill their streaming slots. Quantity over quality ensued, super hero fatigue set in for the audience. It's the studios' fault for sure.

And by "Studios'" I mainly mean Disney.

WB had their own problems with DC. They hitched their wagon to Zach Snyder, decided 2/3 of the way in that they wanted to ditch him, bastardized the JLA movie with Wheedon, floundered around with Shazam and Flash and the Rock before they gave that continuity the mercy killing it was begging for.

Star Wars.....I don't want to go there.

Let's just say I'm not a fan of the handling these beloved properties have received from these major corporations since the dawn of streaming.

Going back to Marvel, I think FF would have made a lot more money had this been the first Marvel project we've seen since 2019's Endgame. People would have been starving for this franchise and would have come out in droves.

Seeing that Yelena, I'm not sure anymore, if I should put on my shelf. I fear she would jump first opportunity and not for the usual "gummy knees" reason 8[

Picked up all of the FF First Steps figures at Walmart tonight off the new display people have been finding. They had one of each. I have yet to see the movie but know that when I do I will need the figures.

Where exactly in the store is the display you found? I stopped by two Walmarts today with zero evidence of the display, but I had no idea where to look.

In the wide aisle that runs alongside the toy department. It's on two little sections of shelving, not in cardboard or anything.

I found Reed, Sue, and both Johnnys in stores so I ordered Thing and Silver Surfer from Walmart for local delivery. I'm currently tracking that car and the Amazon truck bringing some DC Super Powers stuff on their websites. 2025 is wild.

Hopefully they don't collide. There will be toys everywhere!

Walmart employees often put that display anywhere in the store it fits. I've found toy displays everywhere in the entire store no matter how close or far away from toys it may be.

Most often I find it near toys though, but if the employee has any reason not to take down an existing display they seem to take it.

Whelp, to finish up the Walmart delivery story above, after saying my package was down to 4 stops away at Casa Bonita the website kept saying technical difficulties and showing a picture of a dinosaur with meteors strafing the background. That's a choice. Eventually I got text and emails that it was delayed. I figured it would be cancelled. Then today I see it's moving again and lo and behold a package arrived. Not only did I actually get what I ordered (Thing and Silver Surfer), but the Human Torch that I originally had on the order and successfully cancelled when I found one in store was also in there. Looks like they're only going to charge me for 2 of the figures, but we'll see how it really ends up. Either way, thought I'd share a positive delivery story.
