Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

An interesting decision with the new Fantastic Four film is that Galactus appears to be even larger than most other versions we've seen in the comics previously. The Haslab version is about as big as the one in the classic cover shown below, and most versions I've seen in the comics are around this size or sometimes Galactus is even smaller as he was in his earlier appearances.

The one in the film appears to be multiples of the size of the one on the comic cover below. I can't even tell how much bigger he is; is it three times bigger or maybe 5 to 10 times bigger? I can't tell yet. You can tell this in the trailers so it's not a spoiler. He's kicking cars around with his foot, and the tops of the cars don't even come up to the top of his foot. The Hot Toys version also depicts the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer as quite tiny and MUCH smaller than 6-inch figures are next to the Haslab Galactus.

So even if Hasbro wanted to I don't think they could create a screen accurate Galactus in 6-inch form since he'd have to be three to five times bigger than the one they recently created, NOBODY has room for that.

He looks to be about 80-100 feet tall at least. He’s taller than lots of buildings, significantly taller than the Statue of Liberty.

Yeah, no MCU at the panel. So I think that the rumored D+ wave isn't happening then and it's just the Punisher and Daredevil for sure.

Doesn't mean it's NOT happening - but very annoyed. Sure hope our compatriots are able to glean some info from the guys about the future of MCU figures.

And not about Doomsday because DUH.

I'm hiding in the filing room to follow the updates. Since I'm alone, I am gonna go have a immature little bitch fit about that.

Feeling pretty stepchildish.
Speaking of feeling stepchildish…I watched a bit of MCUcollector’s stream and there was some cheering the moment they said no MCU reveals today. It shouldn’t get under my nerves, but it does. I’ll never understand part of the fandom having such open disdain for the other.

Yeah, that's BS from loser fans right there. Screw those people.

Def feels like the MCU stuff is being heavily scaled back

Man I am so glad I didn't watch because I'm the same exact way. You don't want MCU figures, no problem. But to cheer for us getting the shaft? Fuck all the way off. It's dumb, it's petty, it's something that doesn't matter about something unimportant in the scheme of things. But I'm just pissy right now.

Agreed. I told @DarthDre758 I'm being bitchy for a moment and even daydreaming about quitting marvel, but it really stems from letting myself buy into the rumor leak lists too hard. The final Falcon suit Sam and Thunderbolts are the big ones. But also Echo. The rest of my wishlist is really likely figures like the upcoming MCU X-Men and such. So... If I get movie versions of everyone from the giant size issue, along with Kitty and Rogue... I can be happy.

Okay... Karen mode off.

The disdain the TVC peeps have for anything Black Series is just petty as fuck. Anytime TBS gets something they don't have there are posts after posts about it in their special little Facebook group. That place is one big circle jerk as it is. They all have some superiority complexes going on.

I dont think this means anything, really. Given Dan said X-Men 97 is Disney+, my take away is X-Men 97 counts as a D+ wave and that's just what they're doing cause they sell. Which....those are figures I have no interest in and are more for your comic collectors. Not MCU ones
