Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

That too. I am so over Deadpool in general. I never found the yuk-yuk side of the character particularly entertaining, and Reynolds, while I think is PERFECTLY CAST, has always been nails on a chalkboard to me. I've come to realize I just don't enjoy stories that lean heavily on "bits" and that makes me feel old, but Deadpool, and Reynolds, are very good at doing bits. (I'm also mildly traumatized by working too many pre-COVID comic cons with the books and running into too many hooligans in Deadpool masks. I'll never forget when a friend, who was known locally as always cosplaying "Hot Captain America," stopped by my table and said: "whenever something obnoxious happens at these things, it involves a Deadpool" just as a breakdancing Deadpool puked in his own mask.)

I liked the first few FoX-Men movies, and think Hugh poured his SOUL into playing Logan, but I'll always be like: he's great, but he needed to be under five foot ten at a maximum, Hugh's not wolverine-sized, he's dire wolverine sized)
I totally get that view. I don't blame you.
But that story was great.
I agree about Jackman and don't find fault in his performance. Every movie, even the bad one, he gave it. I even love his self parody in the Night At The Museum he cameoed in. I think the third one.
And the movies were good, definitely. Just not something I went crazy for. I appreciate they did a whole "hey it's like the comics but 'realistic"" thing. I get why and it clearly worked at the time. I'm ready for the next iteration for sure tho.

Yes. Marvel's one foot in with the mutants the last couple of years is definitely triggering anti-enthusiasm for eventually doing them right.

"Til you're 90!" was sarcasm, not a helpful suggestion.

Got another Deadpool cosplayer story for you. Year later, same con, some Deadpool threw the filthiest, grimiest stuffed orca doll at my booth. Hits me in the chest. Lands on the table. When I say grimy I say it looked like he stored it in his underwear. He yells "You can keep that!" I refuse to touch it. Just sits there on the table for a while. Same Hot Captain America swings by later.
"What's with the killer whale?"
"Deadpool threw it at me."
His wife chimes in.
"He got humped by a Deadpool earlier. From behind. No warning."
Hot Cap, sighing: "It's ALWAYS a Deadpool."

The opportunities for doomsday are endless.

I just hope for a single definitive MCU version for characters present and I hope they take this opportunity to fill out the missing fox x men characters - cyclops, beast, night crawler and of course gambit void-verse. I really hope Storm and Jean show their heads just to get figs of them!

I know MCU releases have been so sparse and unpredictable now though so who knows - hopefully not a wave of predominant repeat characters with minor costume variations

Toy wise I am hoping for X-Men. Actually, that's likely going to be my main draw in seeing the movie in the first place. I'm happy to see Marsden back in the roll after Cyclops was done dirty in those first three movies. I would not be surprised to see them use X-Men 97 as a blueprint and redeem that character. I also think we are going to see a lot more heavy hitters from all across the MCU that have not yet been announced, X-Men included. Seeing Berry Storm and Jackman Wolverine are both very safe bets.

I have to curb my enthusiasm about figures, though since history shows that lately Hasbro just wants to give us movie figures in drips and drabs that don't even coincide with the actual release. Just gotta hope for the best.

Okay, Deadpool cosplayers definitely suck. But they can't hold a candle to Joker fans.
Visceral reaction: Deadpool cosplayers drive me nuts at shows; Joker cosplayers UNSETTLE me. I've met so many who are so deeply in character I don't want to engage with them. Although I think the single most unsettling cosplayer I've run into is the guy who is deeply in character as Red Skull at a lot of shows I work.

Buuuuuut to get back on topic before I ramble too much - I picked up Joaquin Torres when he was down to 23 bucks on Amazon and as is sometimes the case with Legends, they didn't have to go this hard for this character but they did and he's REALLY well done. Beautifully crafted figure. I missed CapSam while he was down to 24 bucks (jumped back up to 36 in my cart) but if he drops again I'll probably nab him.

I had to scroll up to remember what topic this even is heh. Joker cosplayers... Not to generalize, but some I don't think are in character as much as finding themselves.

Halle Berry claims she isn't in Doomsday. Could be true or could be like Garfield saying he isn't in No Way Home. Not sure, but at least for Secret Wars.

I hope we see the 3rd rumored Daredevil legend. next week. I’m praying it’s Bullseye, I would love a good live action rendition of him.

I'm personally hoping for either Muse, Swordsman or White Tiger. From what I've read, Season 2's Bullseye costume will likely be worth waiting for and doing him in that look that isn't supposed to debut this season. Honestly I'd even take a Foggy or Karen!

If that's the case I'm okay waiting for season two Bullseye, and would like the third one to be White Tiger. But I'm also okay waiting for an Ava White Tiger or even Angela, depending on where they go with it.

Yeah, fukk dem Joker cosplayers.
Buncha jerks.

I saw the season 2 costume, and yep....wait for season 2

Totally wait for season 2’s Bullseye on account of leaked images!! As much as I would also love White Tiger , if I could only choose another to go along daredevil and inevitable punisher release, it would have to be Muse.

Costume looks awesome, he was creepy AF and had some fun action in the show!

I probably won't buy Muse at all. Just... gross and way too realistic evil for me to want on my shelf. And to stay on topic, I just ordered Silver Age Joker to replace the Punchline/Joker two-pack version on my shelf, and because I already returned the Joker *holding his own eyeball* version.

I want the character represented but before he came to rep what he represents now.
