Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

I also see Hulk as the only possibility. If he looks great to me, big fat maybe. But with the way I'm collecting Marvel these days, the only character I could see showing up in a Spider-Man movie that I'd be desperate to have a figure of is Hobgoblin.
We wouldn't see that figure for 2 or 3 years even if he was in the movie

Right, but... in 2 or 3 years, I will buy him! Unless he sucks, which is pretty likely because I'm gonna be really specific and rigid about how a movie Hobgoblin should look.

Whoops, been a bit MIA lately. Lots to catch up on in here!

So far I've picked up Blade, Cassandra, and Brown Suit Wolvie from the DP&W wave. Really enjoying them all, but Wolverine especially is looking like an early front runner for my favorite figure of the year. I may end up getting X-23, just wish they had actually given her a real costume in the movie.

Dan Yun teased on threads yesterday that we should be getting some sort of MCU reveal(s) next week. There was an industry insider who dropped some cool tidbits in a reddit thread discussing the tease. He said he got a chance to see the BND Spidey, Hulk, and Punisher figures at a recent event, but Punisher had a beard so he thinks it's actually a One Last Kill figure. He also said Doomsday Cyclops, Gambit, Thor, Doom, and Captain America were shown off

Wonder if this Punisher will come with a bearded head option for collectors to have him stand in as a BND or OLK version. Looks like the suits are different, so hopefully its the BND which looks a bit more comic booky.

I suppose I can see the logic and not doing another MCU Punisher in the wave if they're keeping BA reasonably available. I hope they're wrong, though. Hopefully we get a second set of drops with Sadie and other all but confirmed rumors.

More interesting to me was that second Thunderbolts set. First I've heard of it.

It's rumored to be a Valentina & The Void 2-pack. I wonder if we'll get Bucky and Ghost eventually.

This latest Deadpool & Wolverine wave brought me back into getting excited about MCU figures (my entry drug into action figures collecting), especially brown Wolverine and X-23!

But it pains me that Hasbro really put an end to the Disney+ waves (I blame What If figures): where are Scarlet Scarab, Darcy, Final Look Loki, Agatha in purple, Death, Wiccan, Echo, Wonder Man, The Hood, Bullseye, Muse, Yellow Daredevil...

Oh, they're sending Valentina.

Sheeeit, Hi-Fi. That's all you had to say.

Makes sense. New civilian bespoke figure. Cheap recast of Sentry. I don't begrudge it.

I am curious about those Thunderbolts figures. They've been rumored for a while, but we haven't heard even a peep from Hasbro. I'd still love to see them, as well as Bucky/Ghost. If only because, out of all the characters, the Thunderbolts/New Avengers seem to be the most likely candidates for Doom fodder in Doomsday.

As for BND- I'm sure I'll pick up Spidey, even if I wait a bit. Hulk is gonna depend. The only Hulk I have is the AoU 2 pack version, which I like well enough, but wouldn't mind an upgrade with the new joints and such. But it would probably depend on color, since I'm sure one (green) is more likely to make future appearances and not just be a one-off. That basic Scorpion is interesting; wonder if the helmet is accurate or was an old design choice that was nixed in the final product. Didn't see a helmet in the trailer, but we know they don't always reflect the finished CGI.

For Punisher- I haven't really kept up on the costume differences, if any, between BND and OLK. Are they close enough that, theoretically, Hasbro could just include a swappable head to make both versions in one?

I think his top looks more Henley and less tactical. And the logo is cleaner. Biggest stand out to me is the quantity and size of his ammo packs. The fact it's not a 1:1 is going to make it a pain point for someone.

Slight upgrades are enough for me. My copy of Holland Spidey was fragile, especially the hips, so I'll take an upgrade in BND if it's as quality as the T Bolts and Deadpool figures. I don't have a Ruffalo Hulk at all, but it depends on his colour if I care to get this one.
