Marvel 1/6 Scale (Mondo, Hot Toys, etc.)

Yeah, Mondo’s approach to show exclusives is pretty odd with them typically being preorders. Cool that it’s available to everyone, but it just feels like a regular release.
 
Did the whole tariff BS knock them super behind schedule? So what would have been an in-person thing is now months behind? It is very odd.

I'm selling most of my Mondo figs off. I'm keeping the X-Women and limiting myself to just them. And even then - unless the Limited/Timed version has too many exclusive pieces to pass up, I'm okay waiting.

I am still tempted to get Sinister, pop him apart at the chest or waist, and put him on my DST Animated Busts shelf. He's the only character I really feel is missing from that line-up - wish they'd done him instead of Psylocke. But I'd have to snip his cape to make that fit and there's no way. But I have been thinking about it.

They may actually have his for display at NYCC, though. Last year they had Scarecrow from B:TAS. He wasn't technically a NYCC exclusive, but went up for a sale a week or two later as part of a general Halloween theme. He didn't actually ship until like the next spring, though.

No, they pretty much always handle their exclusives like this. Logan, Omega Red, Savage Land Rogue - all preorders that just went up to coincide with an event. I think the only one that was actually available at one of these things was the comic repaint for Magneto.
 
Mondo showed concept art for Jean this afternoon at their panel making the next 3 figures in the line: Storm, Beast, and Jean. That will round out the core cast from the 92 edition of the team with the exception of Xavier, who presents his own challenges with that hoverchair. I expect him to be the capper on the line whenever they get to him and it's going to suck. Maybe not as bad as She-Ra with her horse, but probably not that far off. I'm hopeful Morph follows Jean.
 
I'd think Cable is too popular not to do. I'd assume Bishop also would likely get a release along with Apocalypse at least. Mystique seems logical. Dunno that Blob, Avalanche, Pyro, Psylocke or Archangel would be in the cards, but we're getting stuff like Savage Land Rogue, so I wouldn't put it past them entirely.

I really wish these and the TMNT ones they're working on were 1/12th scale above all else honestly. Having a giant doll takes up too much space, let alone trying to collect an entire line of them. Plus $300-ish per is asking a bit much. Even if they were 7in if for some reason they're not allowed to do 1/12th scale, I'd prefer that. 1/6 is what the Bowen and Kotobukiya statues from Marvel were coming in at before every statue maker went to 1/4th & 1/3rd scale.
 
Yeah, I tapped out and flipped all of them except She-Ra 1.0 (who I like better, head sculpt at least). Space eaters and I may as well get a statue with more detail since these pose worse than a Bowen.
 
Bishop and Cable feel like givens as long as the line is healthy as well as some of the 97 cast like Sunspot, Goblin Queen, and the finale outfits. Plus whoever else comes along in season 2. They probably want to do Juggernaut, Apocalypse, and Archangel, but the current economic climate might steer them away from some of them until it makes more sense.
