Maverick looks perfect. Couldn’t ever quite get over how oddly executed his chest/shoulder armor was on the Legends one. I know he’s a 90s mess but he was definitely one of my favorite Toybiz 5” figures as a kid.

Nerdzoic says he gets charged a fee from his credit card processor (?) whenever an order gets canceled. I think every store deals with that when they take money up front. He's talked about Hasbro canceling preorders for Black Series re-releases and having to deal with returning funds to everyone while losing a fee on every order to his payment processor.

Lots of stuff sellers deal with that we're not privy to. I wish Nerdy was more active on YouTube because he throws out some interesting tidbits. Toy Snowman is a good watch. He has a few episodes of him going through customer returns that's kind of amusing.

Nerdzoic also said he instituted the restocking charge to combat the tendency (which he attributed to Legends collectors) for people to place multiple preorders with different retailers only intending to keep the one that ships first. Hasbro takes care of the big shops first so it was really killing him on certain items. He wants his customers to only order if they intend to buy which makes sense since most of the business is repeat business.

I won't lie, I am amazed at the love both here and elsewhere for Maverick. I cannot possibly imagine giving a toss about him, if there's a top 500 X characters I want to see done, he's 501. The folks at that firm must absolutely love the shit out of all things Jim Lee I guess.

Broh he is basically a Jim Lee creation and a fairly important part of Wolverine's origin. Who seems to be a significant character in X-lore himself. I wouldn't be shocked if Omega Red is on the docket. This is huge.

I just wish they would hurry and get current figures out. It'd be more exciting today if I thought I could have this guy before potentially dying. BTW, I know this is a Marvel forum but battle damaged Superman is coming and.....LOBO! Along with Wonder Woman. This is a huge day for Mafex.

He's also just a very cool design that lends itself well to a toy. What would be real crazy if is Mafex goes all in on the story and makes Team X + Omega Red. That'd be wild.

I didn't have any expectations going into this show (aside from Matrix Neo, who either isn't there or I haven't seen yet), but that's the list I was hoping to see. Maverick being the only X-Men character is puzzling.

Last year's expo blew me out of the water. This year, not so much.

To be fair, I've seen a few bods say today is the warm up and tomorrow is the big day, so don't write it off just yet. Fingers crossed for at least Colossus, Beast, and a Charlie Cox Daredevil.

No prototypes shown but they have confirmed they have the go ahead/are working on a Born Again Daredevil and Punisher, and the new Superman. Hopefully we'll all live long enough to actually see them released...

This Reddit thread shows a bunch of the pics of the new prototypes. There are several other DC figures not mentioned yet, and two Marvel--movie Carnage and some sort of a new movie Spider-Man that I can't tell what it is from the prototype. Most of the prototypes are DC.
