MAFEX Marvel Figures

Colossus looks good, though I'm really angling for an Outback version. I won't get that from MAFEX.

I can't imagine them topping the Marvel Legends Sabretooth. Underrated figure.
 
I'm not remotely fussed about him not being 7ft tall and wide as a minivan. Give me the normal sized OG Sabretooth any day than the ridiculous hairy Hulk that came later. Likewise Venom, I'll always bat for the first appearance version than the goopy drooling megaroided take with a crocodile jaw, and shooting out tentacles everywhere.

Hell, I've always found the Colossus thing weird too: his flesh turns to steel, why would that make him gain almost a foot in height? And Ben Grimm is a wee fella, I will have no truck with any Thing over 6ft!
 
Definitely in for Maverick. I'll wait and see how Colossus looks with paint and whether they make his suit metallic paint or not. Sabretooth is another maybe. I definitely need to add that Matrix Neo to the list though, which was unexpected.

Venom didn’t even have sharp teeth during his first appearance. He had human teeth. Also a he had a visible nose. And he was a hulking brute when he was first drawn by Todd. The Mafex is severely undersized

Nah, he wasn't *that* big at all. Sure, he worked out but that was it, he wasn't monster sized. I will die on this hill and take you all with me.

Imagine a 5 ft 10”, 165 lb man in his early 30’s standing next to a NFL linebacker who weighs around 380, is 6ft 8” and works out just to pass the time. Well beyond human tolerances. Oh and he has an alien costume that makes him stronger than spider-man; a superhero whose strength is so vast, he could inadvertently fold the Golden Gate Bridge like an accordion if he cut loose. That’s what venom is. And he has no such compunctions about cutting loose.

Still think that guy is a normal human or is he a god damned monster??

Nah fam, Eddie's not a linebacker, he's an unemployed journalist! He hits the gym after Pete ruins his life but he ain't some Jack Reacher titan ass mofo, he's more like 80s Schwarzenegger, who is built like a condom stuffed with walnuts but is really/secretly not actually that tall (he's the same height my mom was). Pumped up, taller than puny Pete and MJ, sure but still nothing unearthly. The craziness all came later.
 
Venom was listed as 6'3" and 260 pounds in the 1989 Official Handbook of the Marvel U.
