MAFEX Marvel Figures

I'm rarely in a hurry myself, but what I didn't like is the impression that they never would have shipped my order without me reaching out which is not a great way to do business.

This is their policy:
-We normally do not accept cancellation of any kind of orders.

We can make an exception for buy now pay later order in the event that we are notified early, around a month before the release of the order you wish to cancel. Any abuse will be concluded by an account closure.

AmiAmi has the same policy, but I've never had trouble canceling orders with them.

If they're going to be difficult about canceling one order from a repeat customer, I'm not going to shop there anymore. Customer service is the easiest thing.
 
Out of curiousity, was this a Pay Later item or did you pay up front when you preordered? I've kind of had the opposite problem - several preorder items have been canceled for not completing payment even though a payment request was never sent. For one of them (Iceman) I had logged in literally the day before the cancellation to see if I could pay, and there was no option to do so that I could find. Goofy.

I paid upfront. That's my preference. For what it's worth, I haven't seen the pay later option on their site.

I also understand that refunding payments as opposed to canceling orders adds several layers of complexity, but other import stores have done it for me.

With Amiami, they granted a cancellation for SHF Book of Boba Fett w/throne. I made a request early last year for something, but they refused. I can't remember which figure, but I do remember being happy with the buy. That was a handful of years between requests and I have a pretty long buying history.
 
I wonder if these policies are just the standard operating procedure in their country of origin or if it's in response to people placing multiple orders across vendors with the intention to keep whichever ships first?
 
Kaiju has the Punisher and Venom. He was also streaming live during an earthquake this morning. None of his figures fell over.
 
That blue Venom looks really nice. If I liked the sculpt it would really be tempting me, but instead I'll just have to admire from afar. I watched his video on Punisher and it seems fine. I do think the torso is a little weird, it's like they put all of his mass in his back and left him with a flat chest.
 
I’m still struggling with the shoulders on the Punisher. They just seem too low, and the gap bothers me a bit. I know you can pose around it, but at well over $100 shipped, I’m going to pick a lot of nits.

Eh, if one was to pose him in literally the most mind-numbingly boring and unimaginative 'action figure in a bubble' pose possible, I can see it being an issue but anyone with even a modicum of wit is gonna have him guns akimbo posing like a bastard taking pot shots at Pete/Matt/any random scumbag you care to name so it's fine.

Admittedly, I don't pay the insane prices you chaps over there do, though.
 
I'm so pissed. I can't cancel it at HLJ even though it's still open. It said I was supposed to cancel last August.

Gross.
 
I still genuinely can’t tell if I like this Punisher or not. Which is probably a decent sign that I shouldn’t rush to drop a pile of money on him, especially since there are very competitive alternatives available.
