MAFEX Marvel Figures

Me, last week: Cool, he looks great, I’ll put an order in.
[picks from the cheapest JP vendor possible, selects the second cheapest shipping option so looking at 2-6 weeks once they finally dispatch (typically 2 weeks in itself)]

Me, this morning: Who tf is texting me so early on a bloody Saturday?
Postie: We’ll deliver your package Monday or Tuesday.

!!
Are you US based? If so, what did the extra import taxes look like when it was all said and done?

I need to pay amiami for a Transformer that I really shouldn't have bought +$54 in shipping. All I really saved was the sales tax compared to BBTS.

Must be nice!
Yeah, basically I'm paying for a shade over double the price of the recent Marvel Legends* version so to me, it's not an issue. When I look at how much it costs you guys to get hold of these things these days, I do understand all the angst about it though.

Our import threshold is getting nuked next year so it's going to suck but hopefully I'll have most of the guys I want by then anyway.

* Hasbro really stepped up trying to fleece us hard this year, to the point where I've just noped out of a bunch of things I definitely would have picked up had they'd been less nakedly rapacious. Now I just keep an eye out for bargains instead.

Ice to see you, Bobby.

Mad busy so a full team pic will have to wait but here’s a quick one for now. The ice slide is a hefty chunk of plastic, you could totally batter someone with it!

Matte coat plus lighting? Tough to tell. It does look like he may have "frosted" it somehow.

I can't wait to get mine in hand. While the stock paint looks great, I'm tempted to do something like this:

What is "this," you ask? I have no idea. The jackass made two separate posts about it but never said how he customized it.
Where'd you pick yours up from? I haven't ordered him yet - I've got a year old pile of stuff at Hobby-Genki I need to ship, but dreading the tax bill...

Genki. Once Punisher comes in, I'm going to ship a pile of stuff they've been holding for me. Between shipping and tariffs, I'm guessing the four items will cost me an additional $150. Woohoo!

Woof yeah, that's about what I'm guessing too. Looks like they're sold out now, so maybe I'll just take the hint and let it be for now.

I have some Rogues, an Iceman, and a Gambit waiting in my pile at Genki. Ideally, waiting on Jubilee and X-Man before I ship, but similarly unexcited about what that's going to cost me in shipping and tariffs.

This is my first order with Hobby-Genki, and it'll probably be my last. I asked them to cancel my Punisher pre-order (my fourth or four orders with them), and they refused. AmiAmi is far more accommodating, and I'm fairly certain their shipping fees are better amid this tariff insanity.

Do they just not allow cancellations? I did not enjoy my experience with them when I ordered the new Gambit. Took them a month and repeated emails to get them to ship what was an in-stock order. A lot of people on Reddit were complaining about similar treatment so I don't know if they're just really backed up or if they're playing games with the shipping industry looking for more favorable rates or something. In fairness to them, my Scarlet Spider order was relatively smooth which was my only other experience with them.

Their customer service and shipping times are all garbage, for sure. Their prices are usually a bit better than everyone else's, though, and I'm just generally not in a hurry when it comes to this stuff, so I keep using them.
