MAFEX Marvel Figures

Spooder-Man, Spooder-Man, does whatever a spooder can. Which I guess is just bumming around on buildings and shit?

So, regarding the controversy about the blue. In natural light, it does appear slightly darker but actually still not hugely far from the film/promo pics, and light reflects off it beautifully. It's really nice! But for whatever reason, my (and presumably everyone else's!) camera just darkens the heck out of the blue so it comes out looking more BND/regular Spidey blue.

Anyway, the main thing is this is *the* movie Spidey for me, even more so than the Garfield or Far From Home suits, which I also really liked. I feel done now, I'm never gonna need another.

Love it! They do all look gorgeous together - I like the shiny metallic colors when there are other figures in the mix with the same.

Just received Gambit and I’m not a fan of the yellow charge effects on his playing card accessories. This isn’t comic accurate at all. What was Medicom thinking by not going with the traditional magenta?

Even funnier, if we go by his introduction issue, they should be green. When exactly did they start being pink anyway?

I want to say sometime around X-Tinction Agenda. They were definitely magenta by X-Men # 1(1991)

I feel like I’ve had my head in a ditch! I finally realized why the comic gambit has charge effects casted in yellow plastic instead of magenta. It’s because it’s technically based on the 92’ cartoon.

I feel like such a sap. This is why I don’t attend escape room challenges

They should be green AND emanate from his eyes, which I had never realized until rereading his intro issue recently.

I actually just learned that Gambit was responsible for the genocide of the morlocks inn the mutant massacre story from 1986. I know those events have since been retconned many times over, but still that complicates things. I learned this not long after his fate in X-Men 97 too

While I'm not super hopeful he'll still be released this month (Rogue was shown off in store a couple of months before actually being released) it's good to know he's not too far off. Though looking at him just now, it did get me wondering why Hasbro haven't simply applied their Crystar method to create a similar result - that dude looks way better than all those cloudy ass bum versions of Bobby they keep churning out.

Very excited for this one, and that video looks great. I've cooled on Mafex a bit as the prices have jumped up, but I'm still in for Bobby.

I've cooled on MAFEX for a myriad of reasons, but I'm thrilled about that Iceman. He's such an easy character to execute that it's totally inexcusable that he hasn't had a decent figure before.

I don't mind the blue hue, either. It's clearly ice. For once, he isn't Pearlescentman or a Silver Surfer knockoff.
