MAFEX Marvel Figures

My Rogue is coming from Nin Nin, and I have several items being held in their version of the Pile of Loot because of tariffs. I'm not sure if I'm going to pull the trigger and have it all shipped for a king's ransom, or let Rogue sit for months while I hope Japan resumes shipping to the US, until I finally give in and pay the $$$

I'm in the same over-taxed boat. They are already sitting on brown Wolverine, ANH Obi-Wan, and ROTS Obi-Wan.
I have Jubilee, Robin, Iceman, and Rogue ordered with them too.

There weren't any Toy Fair reveals this year, huh? I was hoping we'd get an unpainted peek at something.

I don't think Mafex was even there. They are primarily overseas, so it would be WonderFest (I think that's the name) overseas where they're more likely to show stuff off.

Oh man, now there's hope that tariffs might be rolled back in time to ship Rogue. Not counting on it just yet... but man that would be perfect timing.

One more here for the boat. Currently have ANH Obi wan, Psylocke, and Cyclops in Nin Nin purgatory. Jubilee and Rogue set to join when they release.

I'm still unclear on how this impacts the de minimis exemption. The big Medicare-killing bill passed by Republicans this summer got rid of the de minimis by legislation, but I don't think that takes effect until 2027. IEEPA authority removed the exemption effective immediately. Given that the admin has signaled they will immediately try some other pretense to maintain all of these illegal taxes they are imposing on Americans, I doubt anyone is going to change how they're dealing with customs duties based on this ruling alone.

I have no idea whether the tariff situation changed, especially because Trump announced more tariffs in his press conference this morning.

I was planning to ship a MAFEX Batman that's been sitting in Japan for four months, but that plan lasted all of two hours.

I don't think it impacts it at all since it was always an executive branch (presidential) policy that prevented tariffs on goods under $800 to begin with. Trump is the one who got rid of that policy so I can't imagine he'd suddenly reestablish it.

Also the previous tariff on Japan was 15%, and Trump immediately imposed a new 10% tariff on every country after the court eliminated all of his previous ones. So as far as I can tell our shipping costs from Japanese retailers are going to be almost exactly the same as they have been in recent months. I hope I'm overlooking something though and they suddenly go away, but I'm not expecting that to happen.

What could change things is if he gets sued over the new 10% tariffs. He's only supposed to do that in emergency situations...so what, exactly, is the emergency? There isn't one so my guess is he'll get sued over the new tariff, and I'll be surprised if he doesn't lose that case due to not being able to establish that there actually is an emergency.
