LPZZ Toys (UPF)

The articulation is no different than Storm collectibles. I can overlook them

I'm happy with my Mafex, but I just love that look as a default Batman, so I'll probably sidegrade.

More interested in the wider lineup of Bats.

I was gonna get the Mafex Hush Batman soon, but now, looking at these pics... yeah I'm thinking I'm waiting for these.

My fear is LPZZ won't do anything full lineup.

Mafex has already done

Batman
Stealth Jump Batman
Nightwing
Catwoman
Joker
Harley Quinn
Poison Ivy
Superman
Scarecrow
Jason Todd/Hush
Riddler

*AND* have the following on the way:
Batman v.2
Batgirl
Robin
Bruce Wayne
Clark Kent
Ra's Al Ghul

Will LPZZ go there far? I don't know. I need to see real commitment before I give up the Mafex entirely.

Got the AK Batman in this afternoon.

Aside from the fact that I knicked the plastic on top of the head from trying to remove the faceplate to the movable eyes...

...LPZZ is getting all my moneys. This thing is amazing. Moves great, tons of accessories, super detailed sculpt.

I agree with Anthony's Customs ( 😨 ) that the pecs are too high and too small.

The sculptor says it's larger than the MAFEX Hush figure but smaller than LPZZ's Arkham Knight Batman. I hope it's a lot closer to the MAFEX figure rather than between the two.

Other than that, I can't wait. It immediately becomes my shelf Batman even if it's too big and the chest isn't right.

Lee does illustrate Batman’s pecs as pretty high on his torso. Probably to give him that full-chested, powerful, look. Hard to see in that sculpt where the top of the pecs are, but lining them up with the base of the cowl looks pretty good to me. They still could be bigger, but much better than the first prototype.

I think everyone has this notion of Hush Batman because of that profile image where he's standing on the gargoyle statue, and his back is arched, thus pushing his chest out and giving an almost Liefeld Captain America Heroes Reborn moobies appearance.

But in all actuality, if you look at other Hush artwork, the pecs are really not all that big. I think the sculpt is actually perfect to Lee's artwork.

Again, my big fear is I am leaning in to this line fully. To the point that I sold my Mafex. I hope that wasn't a mistake.

Mafex has shown the willingness to go DEEP on the storyline--arguably my favorite Batman story ever, next to Long Halloween-- and I really would hate to have to go back in and catch up (and spend that growing Mafex money) if LPZZ loses interest, leaving us with a fraction of the cast.

But again, they've told me the plan is to go deep. And I think that this really captures Lee's artwork more than Mafex ever has. So, this is part of the risk.

Just like I did selling all of my DST Ghostbusters, hoping Hasbro would match that. Fucking fool...

When I think Lee Batman, my mind always goes to the drawing of him leaving the Batcave.

Eh, it's simply not enough of an upgrade for me. Plus those thigh swivels are hella fugly, he looks like he's wearing fake thigh boots.

Could possibly change my mind if the cape material knocks it out the park, and it comes with a plethora of cool accessories.

The muscles on that sculpt's legs look TOO defined. He looks like someone trying to cosplay a superhero who doesn't have any idea how anatomy actually works and is just copying the artwork in 3D.
Like Revox said, the thigh cuts also look odd with such little hip ball connections.

I will get it, but it's not a dump the other lines level of greatness to me. I just love Batman.

And yeah, he does look like he has thigh highs. Raiding Selina's closet.
