I think it's a Lawyer Brain thing. "We have to make it clear that these sets are sold separately!"Yeah, I'll never understand why toy companies -in general- seem so averse to photographing their toys -together-.

Oh for sure. But that shouldn't stop them from releasing pics on even Insta, or on their own websites just showing it all together. They did it for decades in catalogues and just wrote 'figures sold separately.' I think they just don't realize how much that can sell a toy. Fucking Justice over here has me reconsidering an ENTIRE collection for fuck's sake.I think it's a Lawyer Brain thing. "We have to make it clear that these sets are sold separately!"
I did the basic terrain with styrofoam and then used canned expanding foam to make all the rock. I coated it with floor grout to give it a rocky texture and then painted. It's all pretty easy and is a trick I learned years ago from the reptile community for making cheap rocks for terrariums. How'd you make the landscapes for your MotUC castles?
It looks incredible. Really ties the displays together.I did the basic terrain with styrofoam and then used canned expanding foam to make all the rock. It's very easy to do! The main thing is to just make sure you give the expanding foam time to fully expand otherwise if you paint the grout on before it does it will eventually crack the grout as it continues to expand after the grout hardens. But it all feels hard like rock but is super light to pick up and move if needed. It looks incredible. Really ties the displays together.
I have to admit, this is both deeply impressive but also gives me a little anxiety. That's an amazing setup.Saturday in the MOTU/TMNT room:
