Just a tease for now, but they've got the license, presumably for 1/18 like their other lines?

It's funny, I've been reassessing my toys while paring down and deciding what I want to be about, and thinking about moving into 1/18 more and now this.

Starcraft figures were my most wanted toyline ever as a kid. I spent a lot of this last summer streaming the Starcraft campaigns to my girlfriend and super hyperfixated on it. Now this and rumors of another game, seemingly an FPS? Sufficed to say, I'm terribly excited. 1/18 is perfect for Starcraft, but I'd love some 1/12 offerings of the named characters like Zeratul, Artanis, Kerrigan, Jim, Nova, etc.

I wonder if they'll go for "In-game" scale with things sized down or up to be closer to each other, or if they'll go true to lore scaling. I'm fine with either.

This will be at least the fourth time StarCraft figures got made, from what I remember. Real short-lived every time. Blizzard did it once, DC Direct (called DC Unlimited at the time), NECA's Heroes of the Storm had at least Jim Raynor, and now this.

Yeah, I wasn't really there for the first time (I was born in 2001), and the DC Direct figures I didn't even know existed, but I hunted down both the NECA releases at FYE back in the day. I would have been around 14 back then? I didn't have an income and had to function entirely on begging my parents whenever we went to the store for whatever figures I got, and luckily the FYE we were at was closing down and had 50% discounts on everything. Got Nova and Jim that way. Jim was a brick that couldn't do anything, and Nova was sticky and stiff, but they do the job well enough. I'd be more than happy to replace both.

If they're 1/18th scale for $60 or so bucks the price will keep me safely away. I'd be in for a couple Protoss, plenty of Space Marines, and enough Hydralisks to shake a stick at, but I don't need another wallet-defiling line, especially for 1/18th scale. I hope they look like kid toys or garbage so I'm not tempted. The TMNT line thankfully looks "too generic" for my liking on the turtles, so I was spared from jumping into those.

Yeah, price will define everything for me. At $50-$60 I'd rather just get a 6 inch print of the Morphonauts Nova and pray some psycho makes a custom kit for Zeratul or Jim.

Hopefully they're the first company with the courage to make a little remote-controlled SCV and a big pile of minerals to mine with it. StarCraft could be a great cozy game if the other players would just learn to relax.
