JazzInc is doing a licensed 1/12 ‘89 Batwing. Looks like they are going to crowdfund on Kickstarter soon.

JazzInc has been doing 1/6 Batman vehicles for a long time now and they have recently moved into doing 1/6 figures. ‘92 Catwoman, ‘92 Penguin and BTAS Batman up for preorder, and Julie Newmar Catwoman and Lynda Carter Wonder Woman are coming in the future.

The 1/12 Batwing crowdfund is now up. I backed, but unfortunately, I'm skeptical it will fund. The lack of interest here is not a good sign either.

I backed the full tier option. An ultimate 1/12 89 Batwing is too good to pass up. Jazz delivers everytime, no detail left behind. I have the 66 1/6 Batmobile and it’s the centerpiece of my collection.

I'm not in the market for a 1:12 Batwing, but I found this conversation with Joost pretty interesting by the Toy Anxiety crew. He provides a peek behind the curtain into the costs and his thought process with this one. He really wants to get it out so even if they don't hit 3k they may still go into production. His break-even is around 2k or 2,200.

This has been extended, and the goal reduced to 1,500. Still not sure it will fund, but I hope it does. It can lead to more 1/12 vehicles from Jazz Inc. Unfortunately, I'm just not sure how much of the potential target audience even knows this is happening. Beyond Toy Anxiety, I'm haven't seen much in the way of him getting in front of the right collectors for this.

I backed it this morning. Went with the #2 option (Batwing + Flight Stand). I thought about the all-in #4 option, but I have that weird Figuarts 89 Batman I can shove in there and he'll do the same job as the little sitting statue so I saved a few bucks.
