Like I said on the last forum, here is our thread for repeated inquiries as to whether Roy, Morton, or Birdo have been announced yet.

Grab a chair and wait with me. While we are waiting, what Nintendo properties would you love to see in this line that haven't been incorporated yet.
 
Well, it's nice to be back. We still need Rosalina, Luigi's Mansion rep, and with the announcement of Donkey Kong Bananza, maybe a new DK would be nice.
 
I have a fear right now that with the slight redesigns that so many characters got for the new Switch 2 era, that Jakks is going to be forced to scrap everything they’ve already made and only make figures with the updated designs.

Most of them aren’t terribly different, although I do hate the new DK design. And now I’m afraid it’s truly killing any hope of new 4” DK characters.

I honestly don't know if the new dk design will really have the effect that people are acting like it does . Honestly while I prefer the rare design the new one is growing on me. It's like a throwback to the og arcade design . And depending on the render it doesn't even look that different. Either way the main thing holding back new dk figures is that the re release of the 6 inch one is still clogging up stores
 
So I finally started playing Mario Wonder since I bought it day 1 and just started last week, but the Elephant, bubble and drill head powers are super cool.
 
What's the consensus at this point on whether or not then are actually going to finish the Koopa kids in the 4" line? Was the last one Wendy because that was a long time ago.

Jakks is one of the more cagey toy companies when it comes to giving info too. Sometimes it seems like we don't know they are coming until a preorder opens up somewhere.
 
I really don't feel like they're going to do it. I hope I'm wrong, because I really want to finish the set. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to just let out Roy and Morton. Just one at a time over a few Waves. But after all these years, Jakks just won't do it.

I think Jakks must have got a hold of a copy of Mattel's "How to slowly and possibly never release what is required to finish a set over the course of eternity" Playbook. Because I feel like Morton and Roy are just the Vintage MOTU Collection in Origins of Nintendo.
 
At this point I need to find someone who can 3D print them as slugs and I'll just paint them. I'm like you, I think if they were going to finish them they'd have done at least one by now.
 
Jakks needs to make them a 2pk and just get it over with. I'd take statues at this point. I wonder if there were any vinyl or rotocast figures of the two. I still have some of those from the main cast, when they were the only option.
 
The size of the two of them is definitely playing a factor. They’re too big for a standard card and there’s no existing SKU for them to fit in.

Really, it’s an answer of “who knows?”. It could be like the Sonic three pack with Were-Sonic where we wake up tomorrow morning and learn that someone found this unannounced set at their Target. Or they could just not release them ever until they someday lose the license. Even if they just upscaled the 2.5” versions, not adding any additional articulation, it would at least be something. But even the 2.5” versions both got a single odd release each and now sell for hundreds on eBay.

In ideal situation, they’d just use the larger boxes of their Amazon releases as an easy way to get them out.

I’m still posting daily on my dedicated Birdo, Roy, Morton account on Instagram, hoping to annoy their social media manager into saying something to whoever can make it happen. But we’ll see if that ever pans out.
 
I'm glad you're on the case Boy Wonder. Thank you. Tell them there are literally thousands of us over on Articulated Thoughts that want these damn figures. Literally thousands!! (Even though it's Me, you, Justice, NORM, and there are currently only 167 current members on the site)

So, I saw SH Figuarts would once again be doing Super Mario toys. Will that in any way impact Jakks and the World of Nintendo Mario figures?

I always liked when SH Figuarts made Mario toys. I believe I have all of them from the first time they released them and the accessory sets. But I also like Jakks, and I like their price points. And for the love of God, we still need Roy and Morton!
