Jakks Pacific Simpsons

Yeah, same around here. I was pretty shocked to see Troy.

Walmart seems to be moving figures, but they're replenishing with older waves. I saw the Milhouse wave a week or so ago.

My nearest Walmart got the Milhouse wave for the first time a week or so ago. They had been sitting on a slowly diminishing wave 1 and Bartmen for so long.

I haven’t seen anything in stores since the Marge wave. My regular Target has been sitting on a Homer and two Lisas for months. I’ve basically soft-dropped the line as a result. I’m not paying the inflated online prices as they’re just not good enough to warrant more than MSRP.

I'm soft-collecting the line. If I run into new figures somewhere, I'll grab the ones I want but I'm not putting any effort into tracking these down or paying more than the $13.99 Walmart/Target charge.

I will say, if Jakks wants the line to last, at least the smaller scale, they really need to start including stands with the figures, especially some of the adults. It's impossible to get some of the skinnier figures to stand- Marge certainly, and now Mr. Burns is proving to be problematic. Don't get me wrong, it's hilariously and unintentionally in-character for him to crumble so easily, but it's still annoying.

I think distribution and an over abundance of Simpson family members is what may do the lines in. It’s too easy to find the main Simpsons family right now because they’re clogging the shelves and preventing any other characters or waves from getting stocked. I totally get needing to keep them available for casual collectors but they’ve gone too heavy handed. It’s a tricky balance to get right but they need to start short packing the family more, or at least give them their own sku from the rest of the line if they want to keep them Evergreen (Terrace) on the pegs.

I’ve only gotten the core family and Grampa, which are all I want after having sold the full WoS line for pennies on the dollar. Who else has been available at the larger scale? These are the ones I’m aware of that have interested me, but I’ve passed on, even having seen in person:

Otto
Groundskeeper Willie
Moe
Barney (probably the rarest)
Lenny
Carl
Bumblebee Man
Bartman
Baseball Homer

Troy McClure

Coming up, we have Ralph Wiggum, Mr. Burns, Stupid Sexy Flanders, and Sick Homer in the next wave.

In the Deluxe line:
Fly Bart
Furious Homer
King Kong Homer
Radioactive Man (specifically the comic one, I believe, not Rainier Wolfcastle in costume)
Vampire Mr. Burns

Ah yes, I’ve seen Krusty and Milhouse too. Didn’t know about Troy or Edna.

@altcunningham that was one of my favorite episodes. “Off your keyster, meester!”

"Grown-up nerds like Gore Vidal, and even he's kissed more boys than I ever will."

"Girls, Lisa. Boys kiss girls."
Just such a great episode. Homer's reaction to the Dud card in the mystery date game looking like Milhouse is an all-timer moment. That slowly growing smile of his.

I can't wait for the figure. A 5" version is the figure I need most from this line, even more than Stupid Sexy Flanders.
