Jada Toys Invincible

Haha, I didn't mention RE, because that's my own dog in the fight, and I tried to remain objective debating the definition of "beloved," lol.

I LOVE Walking Dead...the comic & the Telltale Games (still haven't been able to play the Final Season 😰). The show & all its unasked for spinoffs can go fuck themselves. Especially after Fear killed
John Dorie.

Everyone I know that likes Walking Dead media has some sort of beef with it and hate consumes it after a certain point.

Everyone I know that likes Invincible in any media adores it for any number of reasons.

All anecdotal, but just based on what I see with the younger nerds around me, the Amazon cartoon alone could be qualified as beloved.

I don't even know why I'm going to bat for this franchise, I too just want Resident Evil.
You have the important job of keeping our expectations realistic and not getting our hopes up on Resident Evil :)

So, I know for a fact that as of a few months ago, at least, Capcom had zero interest in Resident Evil figures. At least the kind that we would want.

They're okay with cutesy Nendoroid style figures, but not game accurate. Don't ask me why...Capcom, man.

They are notoriously difficult with the RE license - but since things were going well with Street Fighter, I felt I could hazard some small hope :)

Womp womp. Leaving money on the table. And they've got so many games now a good 1/12 line could run for years without running out of juice.

So yeah, it was Invincible. Not a fan of the show myself, I wished it would be Castlevania or something like that, but oh well. Most people will be happy.

I was always gentle with MSWord around, but they were horrendous. Some Toy Biz Marvel Legends look better.
DST makes shitty figures. I said it all the time. But everyone glazed the shit out of them because no one wanted to make MSWord cranky because then he might not hang around and tell us he doesn't know anything, defend constant piss-poor decisions that eventually seemed to have crippled the company, or give extremely vague ideas of when certain products might come out.

I have a feeling Jada Invincible figures are going to be pretty awesome. Probably fairly ML-compatible. And I bet we'll get more characters in 2 years than DST would have made in twenty.

Really interesting choice for the first wave. I'll be all-in for this line. Will let my son display them in his bedroom and sneak in while he's sleeping to play with them.

Y'know, I haven't made time to watch the cartoon but I like what Jada puts out and this will motivate me to watch it finally. (Actually talking about what my next "treadmill watch" will be over in the Joes thread and it's funny that this just kinda cemented my next pick.

Truest sentence of the day. I swear the last few seasons of the main show was a death march. When the final season popped up on Netflix I legit said, out loud, "I guess we should just get this over with" and finished it. Fear was so inconsistent it felt like it was intentionally gaslighting the viewers. Moments of really great storytelling followed by absolute garbage, no consistency.

I will be in on these. Jada is the hot new toymaker - I prefer comics, but the animation seems to look a lot like Ottley's art so it's satisfying. They can really blow this out I think.

It's excellent. It plays the superhero genre's greatest hits while feeling fresh and original. You've got Peter Parker's personal problems, the best elements of Alan Moore's Miracleman, and Teen Titans/JLA team dynamics. I couldn't recommend it more.

I'd question their character selection in the first wave, but I think this line is going to be huge. I have no doubt we'll get an extended roster.

The character selection is as if the DST line continued. Which is interesting because I imagine these won't scale. Either way, I'm all in!
