Jada Street Fighter

I got in Akuma and Stom Arena Sagat today from my POL.

Akuma… the joints on mine are all reallllllyyy tight. Probably the only Jada toy I’ve had that complaint about. But it really makes him a lot less fun to pose.

Comparing Storm and Jada sagat is I think a mixed bag.

Storm arena wins on sculpt and paint (but it’s also based on a more detailed, newer game) and the leg articulation is generally better, because of the drop down hips

Jada I think the torso and waist move way better, and I prefer not having the rubber ooverlay that storm has on the torso.

Storm also has some of the ugliest knees I’ve seen on a figure.they look fine vanilla but really weird posed.
 
I'd agree about the knees, Jada Sagat has way nicer knees than Storm's.

Seen a spot of gossip floating around elsewhere, wondering if any of you guys have heard it because you're all way more clued up than me: basically, Jada are only going to release the 3 Alpha figures they've already shown and that's it, and they've canned plans for Darkstalkers too.

Seems far fetched to me but I don't keep up on all the news pootling around.

I haven't heard that release plan specifically, but it does line up with what was going around about them pivoting from Alpha 3 to the other games. I've heard that repeated in other comment sections. Makes sense to drop Darkstalkers since Storm hit them there, too. Occurs to me that discussion happened in the Mega Man thread, oops.

The more time I have with Sagat, the more I dislike it.

He has less range than the Jada, the ab crunch has to go, the shoulders are gappy, and the knees look terrible. It looks really good, I just don't care for it as much as Ken and Ryu as an actual toy or character. Since I'm already not looking to be a Zero completionist, the aftermarket in Canada makes it a tempting sell.
