Jada Street Fighter

I got the BBTS exclusive player two Blanka today. This is my first figure in the line and the only other Jada figures I have are Mega Man, Cut Man, and Frosty. This figure definitely has a cheaper in-hand feel compared with Storm Arena and getting him out of the package was kind of a pain in the ass, but apart from that it's pretty great. Hasbro should have bought one of these before cutting articulation into X-Men 97 Beast because the torso rocks. I love the range of motion he gets throughout and everything feels sturdy. The knees and elbows were a little stiff, but not concerningly so. The only joint I'm not loving is the neck as it doesn't seem to want to do anything. I could have sworn I've seen videos where people were getting better range so I may not need to run to YouTube and see if mine is just seized. And I love the yellow and blue - always have, though the blues are a bit mismatched between the chest and the arms. Not terribly so, but noticeable under certain lighting. This is the one figure I promised myself I'd buy if Jada made it and they did. I hope some day Storm gives us an Alpha 3 Blanka for comparison as their "not 1:12" Blanka looked pretty awesome.

Argh, I like that a LOT. Although at least with Jada their release schedule is so sporadic I don't feel guilty buying a Player 2 figure because it'll be like six months before I buy someone else from them.

I never bit the bullet to get the P1 (since it's so easily available on Amazon still)... I'm glad I waited... but at the same time, this coming with the P1 no Kanji top makes me want to grab P1 after I get this.... Nice work, Jada marketing team!

Ah, THATS why he comes with all the tops! Yeah, they are very good at this "oh hey how about this one little thing for your guy" detail in the Player 2 or SDCC exclusives.

Akuma is far from my favorite character but for some reason the Player 1 figures has just never left my desk since I got him - I just find him particularly fun to pose and mess with. He's hanging out with Player 2 Cammy which I do NOT prefer to Player 2 but I've been too lazy to swap them out.
 
Shin Akuma looks great. Really makes me wish they’d be able to get the SNK license so we could have a proper CVS2 display!
