Jada Street Fighter

Looks like Player 2 Blanka will be BBTS exclusive - got an email from Jada today, didn't read it correctly, and tried like a dumbass to preorder through Jada's site. I don't NEED all Player 2 versions but P2 Blanka was my JAM back in the old days.

Waiting on BBTS to charge me for Balrog and E. Honda. So close to wrapping up that OG crew and such a rare thing to get an entire cast in a MODERATE window of time.
 
I’ve been wanting an affordable Zangief for years now, to enter the Villains Anonymous group with Bowser and Wreck It Ralph.

I know Jada gets some shit for being slow but I feel like SF2 really isn't where that happens. I know we'll go a chunk of time between figures, but then 2-4 will drop super quick to fill out the roster. Are we really Zangief and T.Hawk away from finishing up the set after this latest shipment?
 
I've stayed away from this line so far, but I may need to get that P2 Blanka. I loved that sprite back in the day.

I remember getting the old SOTA E Honda years ago and had never been so afraid about opening a figure as I was with him, Zangief, and Dhalsim. I did get them all moving, but put them on a shelf and never touched them again for fear of them crumbling apart. (Zangief did eventually lose an arm randomly). So it's really nice to have a Honda that I can just fiddle with.

E Honda was a special figure for me in the GI Joe days because I remember him and Dhalsim were the last two I needed from the set. I remember going with my dad to Toys R Us looking for either of them and it was the day I learned about the mystical "back room", when they didn't have any on the shelf and my dad said "let me ask if they have any in the back" and a few minutes later an employee walks out with BOTH of them! As far as my young mind was concerned, that back room just had anything and everything you were looking for in it, you just had to ask! And then to top it off I was able to get both figures!

I'm cutting back on preorders and really ready to finish up this line and call it a raging success, but I immediately preordered Player 2 Blanka. I still love that palette swap.

Damn. X-Men 92/97 and SF2 surely cut the best roster silhouettes one can achieve in the toy and design formats.
 
Balrog and E.Honda dropped into my PoL. I saw a post on Instagram from a crybaby saying E. Honda can't stand because of his ankles and toes. Boo hoo. I had him in a decent running pose on one leg.

@Boy Wonder I had issues with those three Sota figures. I snapped one E. Honda torso joint, Zangief had a leg that would pop out of the socket, and when I sold my figures, I had to add a disclaimer for Dhalsim because the butterflies were stuck and I suggested not to attempt freeing them. I think he was a $100 loose figure at the time.
 
Those were made in a rush at the very end of the line and were all made from super brittle clear plastic and painted rather than casting in appropriate color from usual PVC/ABS.

SOTA did a lot of cool things, but stringing along the main cast wasn't one of them.

I like it too, but passed. If it had an extra accessory I probably would have bit

Oddly enough I had my one and only Storm Arena Street Fighter in my POL too.
 
Saw one Akuma at Gamestop today. First time I've seen anything beyond Camy and Guile at retail. He was $29,99, but still nice to see.

I preordered the blue Blanka as well Love me some Blanka.

LOL, I just about did the exact same but then remembered that I'm going to be out of town for a few days and decided to wait until I get back. I've got 35 items sitting in my POL waiting to ship but I'm kind of hoping that Arena Nash hits soon as well. Dan will be my first Storm Arena purchase and Nash the 2nd. I think that ML Quicksilver/Widow may hit pretty soon also.

Heh, and LITERALLY 30 minutes after I hit ship I got "processing soon" notice for two other figures. Every time. It's like a curse.
