Just saying; if we finally get Jack of Hearts and it's this version, I'm burning down Hasbro's headquarters.

I'm going to be blunt. This is the version I fully expect them to give us when they finally do. Not only is it easier to make, but they know it's not the version we want, so they'll continue to milk us for the version we do.

If they make this version, personally I'm skipping it, no matter how much I want the character in my display.

This will be the exact version they will grace us with. Probably only have one head with the exposed wind-swept hair that looks like it's made of rolled up play doh. They will go on and on and oooh and ahhh about the newly tooled shoulder pads they made for him.
Wait. Strike that. They won't gush over him. He's not an X-character, Spidey related or MCU. Those are the only three properties they collectively care about. You can hear it in their voices and excitement level when they reveal things. Especially Dan and formerly Ryan. Dwight might be excited to finally give us what we want "because we listen to the fans".
This will also be the only version we will ever get. They are not gonna spend money on the deco. If Dwight balks about Exodus being too costly because of new sculpting elements, there is no way we're getting classic Jack.
My Day #1 purchase for the real Jack will go to wait on Amazon clearance 5 years later for maybe $10 dollars.

While I'm ranting:
My Top 10 are all almost impossible -

Jack of Hearts - deco cost
Mantis - sculpting cost for the dress and pointy shoulders, plus there's that comment Dan made to me 2 years ago at SDCC alluding to making her Guardians jacket instead of her classic look because of the skin exposure.
Attuma - sculpting cost
Gargoyle - sculpting cost
Swarm - sculpting cost
Red Wolf and Lobo - his classic looks might be deemed as culturally inappropriate to make in toy form, Lobo is a sculpting cost issue
Stingray - difficulty engineering the wings
Starhawk, Martinex, Charlie-27 and Nikki (I count them as one entry since they have equal status for me) - according to Dwight they are all "too difficult"

The only two that are not difficult due to cost:
Firebird - popularity, might be too obscure for Hasbro
Two-Gun Kid - popularity, would Hasbro market a character with "Gun" in the title?

Fun results. Definitely want them all especially Stingray and Jack of Hearts. Force is a mainstay in the comics and has appeared again recently and serves as both an ally and an opponent.

If they don't want to do in demand characters for those reasons, give the license to somebody else. I get it's a business but how much money do we "throw" their way. Jack, Stingray, Mantis, Red Wolf and the Guardians characters are all Avengers. Ditto Two-Gun Kid and Firebird. Besides Spider-Man, X-Men and the Fantastic Four, the Avengers are one of Hasbro's biggest IP sources. The fact that the team keeps adding members is a plus for Hasbro in that fans who want complete teams will potentially buy characters because of the affiliation.

Regarding Red Wolf, he's literally Marvel's first Native American superhero. I seriously doubt one single person would genuinely object to his original look, plus later costumes for him are more covered up. By the way, does this mean that none of the Native American superheroes, including the recently featured Black Crow and American Eagle, are doable ? Should they avoid doing Cap because of his name and red, white and blue costume ? Would people in other countries boycott Cap because of their disgust for Trump and his threats against their countries ? Are the cowboys and Texas Twister not doable because they're western characters and look what westward expansion did to the Native Americans ?
I can see where some characters are problematic : the African apartheid state superheroes from Black Panther, Hate-Monger as Adolph Hitler, etc... Superheroes are aspirational and entertainment. Tying them too closely to politics is dangerous.

Didn't vote for Force because of his competition but definitely would pick up a figure of him.

They'll read this thread and conclude we want a 12"-15" Jack of Hearts in that crummy costume.
And I'll give them Jack in return. :p

I gotta say, why not a $40 or $50 Jack MTO figure? The normal bitching about gouging is inevitable - but - if they give us the one we want and explain the cost, surely those of us who've spent $100 on a Mafex would be happy to swallow the extra cost to get the right f'n version and be done with it. I feel that way about a lot of charcters they shoul've done (or done right) ages ago. I'd pay beyond standard cost to have them, especially if they aren't paywalled in two-pack.
