Hockey (NHL, college, minors, International)

I was predicting a Florida v Dallas Final. Unfortunately, It's going to take a miracle for the Stars to come back 3 straight games. I also see the Panthers winning the Cup once again. Anyone but Edmonton for me. I have disliked them since the 80's when they beat the Philadelphia Flyers twice in the Finals. I was a Flyers fan back then because there were no teams out West close by since expansion was several years away. (LA Kings don't count as they were a joke franchise back then.)

I would definitely cheer the Panthers on over the Oilers. Can't cheer for Corey Perry and Draisaitl isn't that great either.

Loathe Corey Perry!

The good news is other than the year he won the Cup with Anaheim, he's never won it again.
Despite going to Finals multiple years in a row, his team lost every time.
Here's to the Corey Curse continuing once again this year :ROFLMAO:

Yep Corey was on the Stars the first year I was a hockey fan and watched. Thankfully I didn't know much about him then or I would have found it very hard to cheer for the Stars that first year and my whole hockey fandom trajectory may have changed.

Same as last year. Just looked deflated against the Oilers. It's like they give up in this round every year.

Well....there's always next year. PDB's comments about this essentially being Oettinger's fault are absolutely wild coming from a coach and I hope he never coaches a game for the Stars again.

The entire team is sleepwalking the first 10 minutes of the first quarter and it's the goalies fault??? That makes no sense. Maybe PDB wants out. I didn't agree with taking Otter out of the game. But PDB had to do something. The crummy Oilers still scored right after Otter was pulled. I would have put Jake back in to start the 2nd. I think he would have stopped some of the Oilers later goals.
Whatever.... Go Panthers!!!

PDB out! I knew after he threw Otter under the bus he wasn't much longer to be the Stars manager.

Tough loss for the Oilers, but they're in a much better position than they were this time last year.
