Hasbro possibly doing Tron?

Cookie Monster like this one seemed dead on arrival, the Rancor and Ghost Rider at least seemed to have a chance. Granted, I probably didn't need a life size Cookie Monster replica...

Holy crap. Can you tell I am not as invested in this Haslab as previous Haslabs? Can't believe I missed the whole weekend here updating the numbers. Glad I did it on another site. Anyway here is what the numbers were:

Saturday:

978 / 10,000 (+13) 9.78% of funding goal with 37d 20h left.

Sunday:

986 / 10,000 (+8) 9.86% of funding goal with 36d 18h let.

Monday:

992 / 10,000 (+6) 9.92% of funding goal with 35d 20h left.

Still hasn't broken 1,000 backers. This is just painful to watch. I wonder if this will kill the Hasbro 375 initiative before it even gets off the ground? I can't see the decision makers being too keen on going forward with it after the performance of the first undertaking.

It can't help it, that's for sure.

They probably won't do it, but I would be curious if they offered a Figure/Light Cycle 2-pack in the MtO range for say $60 to $75 would it sell? I think it might, and then they could repeat with different characters and Light Cycle colors.

So we're, at best, a secondary like for you? Basically a distant cousin you occasionally have to put up with? Man, the hurt is real!

It's like that math problem where you get half way to the goal every day so you never reach it. Only instead of the goal it's 1/10th of the goal.

That still seems too high a price.

Part of the problem as well is that the light cycles are too basic for such a high price. From what I can tell they are pretty much just plastic shells and there really isn't much detailing to them on the interior. Also do the wheels even move?

Listen baby you know I love you. I just need a bit more time to leave my first lady. Next year I promise.

Haha, keep believin' that side piece....

Probably, trying to base it on what they are charging for the whole thing. I don't know, $60 would be defensible, $75 too high for me, but if they are trying to do premium 3.75 I'd expect them to price the figures at $25 to $30? I'm just saying that if they want this 375 thing to work I would think you might want to start with something that is a little easier to take a chance on ordering, in terms of price.

I am not sure if the wheels move, but the interior in the film was pretty basic so I think they look fine. Granted, that doesn't mean they look expensive to make, but to me it doesn't come across as skimping but the design choice.

I feel legitimately bad for Steve. He's so enthusiastic for this 375 thing on IG and he's actively engaging with fans in the comments, but man, this thing is getting cooked. And if this is supposed to kick off a whole 3.75" relaunch for Hasbro, it's gonna be dead before it gets off the ground.

Still hoping for some 6" original Tron stuff even if this fails...
