So apparently at SDCC this past weekend, attendees who went to the Tron: Ares booth received a floppy disc. On the floppy disc was the following image:

So we’re getting the first two films to start with, it looks like.
What are you guys hoping for?

Really hoping this isn’t a flash in the pan like Hasbro’s Indiana Jones line.

I don't know if I'd need anything beyond Tron, Sark, and maybe evil Tron from Legacy. If they came out with a cool troop builder I'd pick one or two up.

Oh, and a Legacy Lightcycle.

Assuming all this would be 1/12 of course.

I do kinda think it will be a flash, though. I've seen Tron toys come and go, but I think Indiana Jones has a lot more love working in his favor and that wasn't enough for that line to get finished.

I’m fine with it being a flash if we get most of the cast of all three movies plus a few light cycles.

I'm betting 5 from each of the first and second movies. They only list those two here. The loading could be for movie 3, but it's under the Hasbro banner which makes me think it's just anticipating the figure line itself. If we get more than the main programs and one or two real world looks from either film I'd be surprised.
Could it be a video game thing or definitely figure related?
Is Hasbro making any video games right now? Do they even have a game studio anymore? They seem to farm that out for license money and I thought they sold off their game assets a while back.

It's merch of some kind, and since it went out at SDCC I'd assume a figure line or a role-play thing like the Star Wars helmets or Ghostbuster proton packs.

I honestly don't know. I saw something about someone wanting to shift Hasbro away from figures and into games but that's the last thing I remember seeing about that. Tron makes sense as a game though, so just throwing out possibilities.

Yeah, I think games was more boardgames rather than video games. The closest thing they've had to a videogame in house was project Sigil for D&D and... well that did not end well. But Magic keeps plugging along.

Steve Evans, the lead design director for Hasbro posted a glitchy video to his Instagram story of the Marvel booth.
The Dr. Doom helmet was sitting on a Jules Verne book at the con and NOBODY noticed.

Jules Verne was distinctly mentioned in Legacy by Quorra as her favorite author.

Honestly, there's basically one figure I would love to see made from this...

Ooh, would love to have a Tron figure for the Kingdom Hearts shelf. Could probably be easily convinced to get more than that.

Oh yeah? I've never been so I generally have no idea what they've got.
They have an identity disc that makes sounds like the film, plus doubles as a Bluetooth speaker.
They also sell seperate chips that plug into it for Sam, Clu, Rinzler, and Quorra. Lights up in the character’s respective color and plays quotes by them. It’s really cool.
