Hasbro Made-to-Order Figures

Haha! That Byrne sentinel is a chonky boi.

It doesn’t really make sense to me for Hasbro to put more units of the sentinel up but then also raise the price by another $50. As big as these figures are, they’re still army builders, so you want to incentivize customers who pant to purchase another 1-2 orders in addition to the ones they paid for originally. You know like Hasbro should host a few sporadic fire sales through the next 2-3 years via Whatnot where they knock the price down to $130 for the sentinel and I guarantee you these will sell out every time

Tariffs kicked in between initial preorder and now.
I know, what I was speculating is if they would have done it anyway. I’ll be curious to see if they mention it when it comes time to market the next one.

I don’t think the tariffs affected the price of the initial run. Occasionally I would have to go into my order history because I would have to reassign a new credit card to an existing order because a previous one expired or was found to have fraudulent activity and while I was doing that, I’d see the order total from my lot and it stayed at a consistent price. It was $929 with taxes and shipping from the day that I ordered and up until the day it shipped. The tariffs certainly disaffected those who chose to wait, but in no way were the original orders also caught in the crossfire. If you ordered on day one, your price was locked in.

Got it - that would be interesting and a way to hold people to the pre-orders - have a pre-order price and then if any are left a regular price, say 10% more.

So this Sentinel is essentially the Neal Adams/John Byrne design along with the animated series. The HasLab was based on the House of X era.

The ToyBiz BAF was, I think, based on the Mark Silvestri design from New X-Men (151-154)?

The Marvel Universe/SDCC versions - anyone know which era/artist that was based one?

The Marvel Universe ones are loosely based on the design from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game

Hasbro was never going to adjust the initial offer price. It’s just not how they do business. Many just assume the price now has gone up because of the tariffs.
Right. Hasbro presold however many units at a certain price based on their estimated total costs and (presumably) without a crystal ball re: the incoming admin. Between preorder and delivery an additional ~35% tax (depending on the mood of the toddler in chief that week) was tacked on to their final bill. That's going to make a pretty significant difference in what they expected to make on these vs what they committed to sell them for to anyone who preordered. It's a good thing they honored the original preorder price, but it's not at all surprising the price for new orders went up. The same happened with Dragon Man, though I believe there was a brief window once he started shipping where he could be had at the preorder price.

Anyone know how many Sentinels are left now?

Mine may or may not be already be waiting for me at my apartment but I'm out of state. I ordered two but two makes an awkward display, and I don't want to keep the HasLab with the 97 group.

But spending $240 right now is very stupid.

I have Apoc on order and he could maybe go in the middle as the third big guy, but... hmmmm....

I was able to find it

Looks like it's showing 2005 according to altcunningham's helpful instructions. (For some reason I can't read the "stocklevel" in the browser source and I have to copy the whole code into notepad before I can find it).

Just did it on the Cassandra and Laura (since she's sold out).

I'm in Chrome. Ctrl+U to find the source code.

Ctrl F “stocklevel”

The number next to it is the current item stock. Cassandra 360, Laura 0.
I'm trying to do this and it's not working. Do I have to select a certain spot?
