I get the feeling the MTO model is one of those situations where they have a minimum price point they want to try and achieve (no proof obviously). So Mephisto didn't fit the bill just by himself, and as such something needed to be added to cross that line and BAM(F) 😜 he gets a throne.

"Hey fans we decided to try something new."

"Remember the Legendary Riders?"

"Well look what we have for you now."

"HEINOUS HEMORRHOID HEROES & HOOLIGANS" (a little alliteration in true Marvel fashion)

"All you favourite characters on their favourite thrones."

Also keep an eye out for wave 2 with a Build-A-Throne "Porcelain Potty of Power" (sorry)

My non-X-Men villains live on a general Marvel villains shelf. He'll go there. I'd like to display him on the throne, but that will depend on how big it is. Squeezing him in is going to be tight as is.

Doom is the center of that display, and, honestly, if one character deserves a throne in my collection, it's Doom.

Given the likely fate of the Marvel Select figure, he feels cursed.
 
An email from Pulse came Monday stating that I was charged like $92 - I thought I got hacked haha...then remembered. I am psyched but it stings! He still hasn't shipped though. Pre-ordered Mephisto just now, that Throne makes this a can't miss. I wish the figure had some paint spray or a wash because that's a lot of red and this thing is expensive, but looks great either way. Hope they have a Johnny Blaze and/or Vengeance in the pipeline.
 
I’m definitely going to hit Mephisto’s face up with some pink highlights, then he’ll be perfect.

I’m hoping that the year gap is long enough that I’ll still be able to shift the MS one for a decent sum.
