These are the guys doing Elric, right? Any word on his progress? Any word if Mignola-look Corum's coming?

ADRIEN!

And yes it is. I believe Elric is still on track for Q3/4 of this year, but no firmer date has been thrown at us yet. More Eternal Warrior stuff is planned, but nothing specific revealed yet.

I feel like the last refugee from the ship. This past month August I put like 4,000mi on my car driving to/from Austin, Salt Lake City, and Saint Augustine for various work and personal purposes, and like 2 threads I was following on Fwoosh updated while I was away for three weeks.

Yyyup. Kind of a ghost town there now. Most everyone ended up here, I think. It's sad to see, but we needed a place with more stability. I wanted to PM you, but of course Fwoosh doesn't have that ability anymore. Glad you found us.

Ordered Who-Man and the Imperial Sentry a few weeks back and just got them today. Who-Man was kind of an "oh no I really want a human before they're all totally sold out" buy but unsurprisingly, he's just a damned good figure. I did pop off the big upper pauldron on his left shoulder because I wanted more ROM and without it, he's got a lot better head movement. I was hesitant to get him because I thought he was just a He-Man homage but he kinda feels almost more like a John Carter? Which makes me like him better, feels more like something new to the collection than a variation of something I already have.

The sentry is really nice, but his jaw is REALLY frozen. It's okay, I'll keep heating it up to try to loosen it, but did anyone else run into that? I'm just worried I'll try to hard to get it to move. I do like the scale pattern though and the sheathes on his back and hips are really innovative in making sure he can carry all his gear at once, borderline Classified level care on making sure all his gear is stowed on the figure itself.

Yeah all my lizard dudes needed boiled water treatment to loosen the jaws and arms.
I'll have to really heat his head up. A quick hot water dip fixed his knees which were super stiff, but the jaw's still stuck. I assume it's just paint gluing it shut.

I didn't have any issues with the lizard jaws on the two that I got, but that is a small sample size.

He does a bit. It's funny because this is sort've what I was talking about when I was shitting on the 4 Horsemen; IF you can even call Who-Man an homage to He-Man, it's a pretty sparse on. Head-sculpt sort of calls back to that page-boy haircut, his name sounds like He-Man, and.... that's about it. Nothing else about the figure really shouts out any popular He-Man looks. He-Man doesn't wear spikes, or gold armor, or gladiator stuff. So it's definitely pulling from a lot of things rather than just 'here's our legally distinct take on just redoing He-Man without paying Mattel for it.'

So yeah, when the line was shown off and people kept saying 'oh, it's their He-Man' I was almost a little puzzled because it's more like a modern-style He-Man head and that's it. And even then, that just makes him the spitting image of half of the fantasy heroes from the entire sword-and-sorcery generation, haha.

I will say that these figures get more fun the more you own. It's a treat to sit down with all the parts and just swap stuff around to see what looks good.
I will also say that I'm very fucking annoyed by the ankles. Krieger, in particular, keeps falling the fuck over. Their ankle hinges are quite tight, EXCEPT in the 5 degrees of range where you need them to be tight - right around where the foot would be 90 degrees to the shin. So you get the foot flat, but it's SUPER easy for the ankle hinge to shift up or down just enough to make them fall over. It really sucks.

I really don't love the ankles, and the knees can either really work or be really ugly depending on the figure, but I do very much enjoy them. And really what I wanted from this line was how they were doing things nobody else was doing (I unhesitatingly bought Jaeger because what the hell IS he and why is he so COOL?) and their lizard folk are so unique, but with Who-Man in hand? Just a fuckin' great looking human warrior. Armor's a little busy but that's everybody the days, and his shoulder pegs are hidden by his hair better than most figures if you pop his shoulder armor off.

I wish they hadn't called him "Who-Man" because in-hand, he's really NOT an homage, but they kinda market him as such. If they'd just called Him, I dunno, Aimon or something I'd have gone months before being like "wait a minute..."

Glad to know it's not just mine. Stands don't even really address the issue because they can only Michael-Jackson-lean so far before physics wins and they fall. Physics always wins, that bitch.

To be fair, the official reason for his name is that he has no name and that's what the lizard people call him trying to say 'Human.' It's certainly even possible that the head sculpt came after the decision that it would be fun to name a human warrior 'HU-MAN.'

It was not until someone mentioned He-Man in this thread that I saw any resemblance at all. Even then, I have to squint and flex my imagination muscles. I see John Carter way more than He-Man.

For me it was "Who-Man" as a name side by side with their Battle Cat colored lizard man and the pattern locked in for me. Fortunately both really do stand on their own without the homage bits.
