Hell, I'd be willing to pay full MSRP for Elric in a beat-to-hell box!
That's literally my opinion on it. Just sell them for full price with a visible warning that all remaining stock is in damaged boxes. If people are that upset about missing Elric and really want him, it shouldn't matter. If you're in in-box collector, go to the secondary market and try to find a mint one, which you weren't necessarily guaranteed to get even in the original pre-order window.
Also... MISB collectors can fuck off. Gently.

If I recall correctly BBTS sells tons of non-mint packaged items for barely a few bucks off, and people still jump on that shit and think they got a deal. If there is actually additional Elric stock in damaged boxes and he's not selling them because he thinks collectors are going to give him a ration of shit over it, I think he's leaving money on the table.

I mean, if he sold them at full price, my prediction is they would still sell out instantly and they would get complaints on Instagram or whatever, because the Internet comprises the hypothetical million monkeys and you're inevitably going to see some idiot saying whatever dumb thing you expect to read. You have to just...not care about that bullshit.

That said, give a $5 discount on the damaged-box items - or even, say, a $5 coupon toward another purchase on the SC store - and the pushback would be virtually nonexistent.

The biggest impediment to staying current with the line is being an International collector, where you're looking at a 25-30 dollar shipping charge every goddamn pre-order.

And then UPS wants more than that in brokerage for the privilege.

Although we are starting to get options with DJC on top of e-collectibles.
