Harvinger Studios, Savage Crucible

So they revealed the newest figure, whose name I've already forgotten. It's basically an ice-zombie repaint of Nashorn, is I guess the best way to put it.

On the pro side; I dig the colors a lot, the new head looks awesome, the new sword is cool, and the old sword done up to look like it's made of ice is very neat.
The con side is that my brain can't unsee this as a STRAIGHT repaint of Nashorn and it's bothering me. Nashorn has really distinctive armor and parts combo. I don't fault them for doing this -repaints are the name of the game these days. But I'd like this a lot better if they'd changed up the secondary armor, at least. It's not like we already have other armor that matches his vambraces/greaves to do the change ourselves. So I'm left with literally just 'Nashorn, but a different color' and I'm probably gonna have to pass unless I can figure something else out.

Yeah, as cool as the new guy looks, Im gonna have to pass. Definitely looks cool though, is that the Death Dealers figures flesh color?

I was happy to lock in an order for the warhorse on Friday, and am irresponsibly considering a second now..

It is not the same flesh color, the con-first figure is more white, where as Death Dealer is more pale blue.

Did they show how the con-first figure has a removable mask for half of its face?

Ahh gotcha - thanks for the clarification. I did see that awesome head sculpt, it's really nice! I didn't see the removeable mask part though.

On Twitter it's the piece below the second head and above the hands on the product shot. It fits over his eye like's he some sort of phantom at maybe an opera or some such.

Con-First, not Con-Exclusive, I believe.

I made sure to ask a lot of questions when I had the chance. It didn't even entered my mind until yesterday that I never took photos or videos. I was too busy just enjoying the experience to even think to do that. Kinda wish I did to help illustrate some of my points.

One of the sculptor's thought that the unique parts for Death Dealer and Elric will be part of their ongoing parts library, but I was unable to ask the owner to confirm this. Still, if true that means a lot of new things can be used with clever reuse, creating more than just Lizard, Barbarian, and Snake characters.

Please keep in mind, none of this is me claiming to know anything most people couldn't find about by watching their recent live-streams or engaging with them at a show. I have NO insider knowledge and make NO claim to. Just in case someone thinks I may be speaking out of turn. No one here has said that, but just in case.

Nah - it's good to have someone willing to break down information that's out there into something digestible. These days it's REALLY hard to keep up with everything. Especially when a lot of info mostly comes from Con appearance chats or 733 hour livestreams that ain't nobody got time to watch.

I recall them saying something to that effect in one of the recent livestreams, and also Ball & Chain Warrior has already had his shins and sword/scabbard reused with the Varnoks and Brynyar respectively. It does make me wonder about the details of their licensing agreements and how unique or recognisable a piece would have to be before they aren't allowed to reuse it for a non-licensed figure.
