Harvinger Studios, Savage Crucible

Thanks, I thought they might have a more precise window at this point since Q2 starts in a month.

I do appreciate they have the timeline, but will note that unless you have memorized figures by wave, they do not list who is scheduled for Wave 3 or Wave 4 at this point...unless I am missing it on the site.
No, they definitely seem to expect people to remember which wave everything is in.

"Yo, Dek, I'm really happy for you, and I'mma let you finish, but this post is worthless without pics!"

;)

This is the first character they are releasing the new stuff with. They did discontinue the DnD cards. I don't have an image hosting sight, (and I really don't want one,) otherwise I would snap pics.
Don't worry man. I was already finished.

They did discontinue the DnD cards.
I am surprisingly disappointed by this news. I never had use for them, but they were fun to open up. Reminded me of cracking packs in the 80s and 90s. I've been tempted to get back into that hobby, but information on variety, availability, and set size isn't easy for me to find and I'm not going to work hard to fall down another rabbit hole.

A few of us saw the end of those cards the moment they were first announced. Fun idea, with no practical reason to exist and therefore no value add and therefore a waste of everyone's money.

I went to Zolocon, and got there when the doors opened at 11, and I got inside by 11:30. I headed right to the Savage Crucible tables to get my Komo, Jaeger, Who-Man and Con Exclusive. They informed me they sold out of the exclusive, but y'know that's the breaks. I should have got the VIP pass, (That's me, not Savage Crucible saying that.) So I laughed and said I'll just take Komo, Jaeger, and Who-Man. And they said Komo had sold out, and I missed the last Who-Man by minutes. I laughed again and took one of the last three Jaegers. The owner overheard all this as I was saying that I had to laugh because I drove 2 and half hours, and he took pity on me. He gave me a con exclusive which I think he had set aside for tomorrow. I told him him he didn't have to but he insisted. And that is what made me a life long fan right then and there. He didn't owe me anything but he felt he should do it. Speaks volume of his character to me. Thank you again, Mr. Post. Then the whole team signed my Savage Crucible comic. I don't think they anticipated how popular they are as a brand, because they mentioned they were not prepared for how much demand there is. Goes to show that if you make a quality product people will come. Heck I went back and picked up one of the last five Veteris Rapax, the Battle Cat homage.

I also saw the Toylanta exclusive, and it the best kind of parts reuse, the kind where you don't notice. They had Elric out, and Death Dealer on his horse posed like the painting, and it is a GOOOOD rendition of that painting in 3D plastic. They had some weapons that right now are only be used for an exclusive but they said may be in future waves. They had new weapon types of display. They had all of Wave 4 and Kubla Khan is very simple but very, very nice to look at. I think it will be a sleeper hit. They had a toy from a partnership they did of an angel knight with full wings. Savage Crucible will not be soliciting that the other company will, and I did not get the name, but he has a freakin' huge scythe. They showed off their new gold blind bag items, some have metal chains, other glow under UV light. They were real cool, because under the right conditions you can make them look like they are glowing with energy or magic. They also dropped hints at the next Frazetta figure with a 6-inch scale polar bear. (It's of commensurate size as the GIJoe Classified. They claimed it was just a polar bear that they don't know how it got there. Fun guys to talk with.

So much fun, and I'm sure I was annoying but they never said. Crazy fun time with them.
Thanks for the update from the show Dek! Sounds like it was a great time. I had the pleasure of meeting them at a show in LA a few years back and walked away feeling the same as you described. Cool guys and great product for sure!

A polar bear can mean only one thing, bring on the Frazetta Silver Warrior figure!

Officially they said "No."

Then they winked really hard.

Take that for what you will.

I'm also gonna need 4 freakin' Polar Bears when Silver Warrior never comes out, because again, they said officially it is "No." Because it's kinda fun to all be in on the joke.

Also they never once hinted to me that this would be the next release, just that it was an upcoming release. Let that help manage expectations about potential timelines for what was just a tease, and not an official reveal.

I think everyone needs to be realistic anyway. Even if it's officially revealed as 'happening' today, it's like probably a year and a half away -at the earliest-. Everyone posting on toy message boards has some responsibility to be informed enough to know how this stuff works and not expect a smaller company to reveal something today, pre-order it tomorrow, and have in your hands next week.
