Ghostbusters General Thread

Just got an email from Mondo that Peter is now not shipping until August.

I was super forgiving and understanding of the push until July. But seeing toy "celebrities" and influencers getting these in hand, while the rest of us unknown peasants have to wait an additional two months?

Now I'm rather irritated. I'm trying to keep a "first world problems" perspective on it, but that's bullshit. Especially with no explanation given, just..."Sorry, not sorry".
 
I got the same email. Pretty surprising since it seems like they're done, unless those influencer figs are the final samples they got. I just assumed they had some air freighted to pass out for Ghostbusters Day while the rest was hanging out on a ship somewhere. Just weird that it wasn't even two weeks ago they said June, and now it's suddenly August? What the hell happened in the last week and a half?
 
Im actually glad. Because of the size and expense, I was having this sent to my parents' house instead of sitting out all day at mine, and now turns out they're going to be out of town a big chunk of July.

Pixel Dan mentioned in hid video that his copy was a sample, which is why his box had some issues.

Frankly, I would like a little more range in the head/neck, arms, waist and legs, but he looks like he'll be able to hit most of the poses I would want.
 
Got an email from Mondo. Peter and Samhain has been delayed again. Now out to August. rasmfrassm...
 
I'm surprised that Winston is going up for pre-order this week even though Peter is delayed. I would have assumed they'd wait until more people get Peter, since some folks will be reluctant to drop $100 or $200 on figures that they haven't had a chance to handle. That said, I plan to pre-order Winston. I guess not being charged up from at most retailers reduces the risk. Although, I think bbts charged a deposit. I can't remember.
 
I'm definitely preordering Winston. Sandman is what I'm still going back and forth on. He's just kind of dumb looking.
 
Is Winston for sure going up this week? I feel like Mondo usually does their pre-orders on Tuesdays, and animated Carnage is going up tomorrow. Is it common for them to do more than one high-ticket pre-order in a week?
 
I'm pretty sure they've done more than one preorder in a given week, just not within the same license. And Winston is practically cheap by comparison.
