Ghostbusters General Thread

Ray arrived today. He was a little looser for me out of the box than past figures in the line, though still nothing to write home about when it comes to articulation (if they're planning an Ecto-1 they're going to need new lower halves to sit properly). His box is definitely more filled out than the other figures too which I appreciate, I guess someone at Mondo really likes Ray. He's not quite perfectly on model. He's too tall and I think his head sits a little too high, but he's obviously still the most on-model Ray we've ever received from any company. It's cool to have the set complete.

Whew. That hair curl on Egob is almost the same size as his whole head.
 
Everyone's got bland expressions except for Peter. My Ray is on the way according to Mondo, along with my 1/12th Mondo He-Man just in time for the movie. A shame Skeletor wont be on hand by then. He and Man at Arms were really the standouts for me from this line.
 
Ray has a little bit of a smile. It's subtle, but I think it works. Egon is bland by design, though he does have a scared one too. Winston though is a wet blanket. Just a true expression-less face or a slightly angry one. His options are the worst. For 100 bucks, we should have got 3-4 minimum. Some combination of neutral, scared, angry, where neutral would vary by character (I'd argue that smug Venkman is probably neutral enough for him) should have been the priority. And if a character demanded a fourth then it should have happened.
 
Would have preferred a stoic face, an expression unique to THAT character, and at least a scared face. Heck throw in an angry/determined face for when they're throwing the proton streams. Winston looks uncharacteristically pissed off and Ray looks like John Candy on valium.

Forgot to post that my CC got charged the other day for the 84 Proton Pack from Hasbro. So it should be shipping soon.
 
They did heavily tease they were doing Stay Puft waaaay back when the line was still just getting shown off. I'll jump on it cause I'm an idiot, but I also really don't want to have to drop $300 on a Stay Puft right now! Maybe it'll include some of the "ghost tower" from the intro?

Yeah, they're hosting some show/panel and Mondo is going to be there. They've been plugging it for a bit. Could just be first in-hand reveal of Louis, but I bet they won't disappoint and will show something new be it physically or in concept art form.
 
That was always the most logical variant they could do, but at these prices, I'm all set when it comes to variants.
