The government is the only thing that can tell Epic what to do at this point, but more often than not they ask Epic what should be done. It's frustrating. Kudos to Joe Biden for telling Judy Faulkner in a meeting that people aren't too stupid to decide what doctor they want looking at their records.

The chokepoint to interoperability was there before EHRs, they just didn't fix the problem that people want fixed. Keep in mind the MBAs running HC systems are also not incented to have records flow to competitors. They get plenty of blame too.

Then again the government makes things difficult too. Most of the bitching people do about EHRs is the documentation they're required to input, but that's due to regulation and claim denials much more than the inherent design.

Plenty of blame to go around!

We need a vomit emoji to go with thumbs up laugh and heart
Depending on what you ate, vomiting probably doesn't look or sound all that different from a felch belch. Or so I've been told!

Then to counter Felch-Belch, I came up with the Saint's Taint. Ach, that halibut was divine. Better n the Saint's Taint it was.

True story, I took Karate in college for a few weeks. In sparring with the two student teachers I accidentally kicked each of them in the balls. So the sensei says we'd go 2 minutes or something and if I kicked him in the balls he would not hesitate for the rest of the time. I totally accidentally nut tapped him too. He surely took it easy on me. I swear those guys were leading with their sacs.

Weird. My sensei encourages something he calls "ball-zak strength training".

When I started migrating posts from the politics thread, I didn't realize the next 37 posts would pertain to dicks. Is this what goes on in the GI Joe Classified thread?
we've got a guy in charge of HHS who writes poetry about felching and swims in sewage, so that's not happening any time soon.
Proud to admit I had to Google that one.

OpenAI defending itself in the case against them regarding the teen who committed suicide based on ChatGPT’s responses by using the “well he violated the TOS” is like… a perfect encapsulation of how much responsibility these companies will be willing to admit to when the bubble burst.
