General Toy Nostalgia

EDIT - the car and figure set sells for over $1,200 on eBay!:cry::unsure:
Yes, I learned about the price tag soon after leaning of its existence. Too bad. The only hope is that I someday come across someone selling it who doesn't know what they have.

In reality that Bigfoot is kind of disappointing in any objective sense, it has shoulder and hip cuts for articulation and that's it, but you can pop off the chest to see the bionics!

Now how can any figure with a removable panel and bionic parts be disappointing?

I also had this bad boy, along with a bunch of the green army men - which I usually has as more of a diorama that I'd set up. If you can't tell from the description, this thing was 2 feet tall, so huge compared to the 2" tall army men. You had cannons and ladders and tanks and what not.

Wow, that is another all-time classic! One of the great playsets. Endlessly, endlessly fun.

On the Bionic Man train, anyone remember Pulsar, Mattel's gross, off-putting, badass Steve Austin rip-off?

Oh, when I had it as a kid I loved it. I was actually kind of surprised when I got it again it didn't have at least knee and elbow joints, I don't think it even has a neck joint. Having said all of that it will be one of those figures my estate will need to get rid of...

I think back to that being $15 in 1975, and how that is like a $90 playset or more in todays dollars, and realized how blessed I was to have some of these things.

I totally forgot about him! Also Stretch Armstrong...

Did anyone have Spiral Zone?

I vaguely remember the show, mostly that it barely was on and I only saw two episodes, but I loved the designs and had no idea they made toys of it till decades later.

"Easy! We take away half of its play value! The kids will love it!"
You're not wrong ... but I loved Rock Lords, still have them, and my 8 year old daughter loves them too.

But I was always the kid who wished Kenner would stop making so many Batmans and get to Alfred; who hated the action features that were supposedly targeted at me; and who was baffled when Tom Hanks' character in Big questioned, "The robot transforms into a building? Where's the fun in that?" because I would have taken the building over the bug he suggested. Batman needs one to crouch on and swing from

I remember the show and I remember seeing the toys but never owned any.

I'm just gonna put this one here but I really feel you guys would enjoy these:

Ive seen a good number of their videos, but I haven't caught that one before. #BringBackSpiralZone2027

Jace and the Wheeled Warriors.

One day.
Perusing the aisles the other day at Walmart I had a thought that wouldn't it be cool if Mattel could do some Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors Hot Wheels? I don't really need them in original scale, but a couple of the key vehicles/characters in Hot Wheels scale would be perfect for me.

I never had the toys, but what little I saw of that show lives in a deep recess of my brain. I recall it was way more adult than most cartoons, kind of a precursor to stuff like EXO Squad or Gargoyles.
