General Marvel Legends

Speaking of the VHS line, I impulse bought the new Mystique at Target today because my VHS one is bow-legged and not very good. I was planning on swapping the heads because I like that animated portrait more, but completely forgot the skin tone of the VHS release is more gray than blue so it looks pretty dumb. I suppose I could try to swap the hair pieces between the two.

The hair pieces are definitely swappable. I did it to give the new Mystique the slicked hair of the VHS figure.

The heads almost look like they may be the same and it's just the finish on the face that gives the illusion they're different. I just need to work up the courage to pry the hair off. That VHS Mystique is no longer cheap to replace if I screw it up.

It's super annoying that the image on the card and the render on the back of the box both have the VHS hair... but the actual figure does not. I wouldn't have minded a second Mystique head with the alt hair and different expression. Would have traded the guns for that instantly.

Yup, which is funny because the render on the back of the VHS box had her on a pinless body with double elbows. Something about Mystique breeds screw ups at Hasbro.

I'm keeping track of the MLs I by this year, ideally I'm going to try to keep it low......under 10. But it's January and I have two under my belt already---Cardiac and WWII Logan which will be here tomorrow. I'm feeling good about these two purchases though.
