General Marvel Legends

I've considered creating a frosted effect using a mid-grit sandpaper (maybe somewhere around 300?) to rough-up the surfaces. Then there's no need for sprays or coats or sealing anything. I have yet to run any experiments, mainly because I still display the old TB Iceman-with-exploding-crotch, but the abrasive idea does seem sound in theory.

Maybe placing the figure in a sandblasting chamber on low would be even better?

I’ve had the same inclination, and some low grit sanding sponges. Maybe I’ll try on the extra head or hands first.

Do we have a Larsen style Spidey?
I don't think so. He had a really unique way of drawing eyes, rounded with no corners for the white, but sharp corners for the black outline. Body would be standard, but the blue would either be very dark or black with blue highlights. I think this is an underrated artist's look, and would like to see it happen.

Yeah I would love to have a Larsen and Weiringo.

As it doesn't look like I'll be getting any new Marvel Legends in the next 3 days before the New Year, it would appear that Target Mystique will be my final Legend for the year. Feel free to share what your final ML figure is for the year.

Looking like the latest Spidey retro card wave. I’ve only opened Nightcrawler and Owl, but Cardiac, Hypno Hustler and Miguel are staying carded til I get second copies.

My MCU Iron Man Mark III re-issue/repaint is on it's way from BBTS and expected to arrive tomorrow so that will likely be my last Marvel Legends figure of the year. I also broke down and finally bought the MCU Born Again Daredevil over the weekend. Odd that my last 2 figures of the year will be MCU figures that I don't really collect.

But I received 2 X-Men '97 Sentinels and the full Spider-Man retro card wave just before Christmas so those were a more fitting way to end the year.

Retro Carded Quicksilver from Walmart will likely be my last ML for 2025. Although I do get paid tomorrow since we are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week sooooo....maybe not?

I got shipping notice from Amazon about Sorcerer Supreme Doom (I don't NEED another Doom but... I mean, a Doom every few years isn't bad, right?) who will probably be my last Legend of the year. Though that Spider-Verse wave is showing up as in-stock on Amazon so I might see the Owl or the 2099 update before the ball drops on NYE.

It looks like Cardiac from the Spider-Man Retro Wave will be my last Marvel Legends of the year. He is supposed to be here tomorrow from Pulse. I can't imagine I will get anyone else after him that close to 2026, but I'll keep ya posted.

Unless Amazon gets 2099 to me before the end of the week it'll be Mystique.

I love that figure and especially the new head sculpt. He doesn't look too bad with Iceman's iced up patch of grass positioned backwards behind him like he's tearing up the street running either. Had to give him the flat running hands off my MLF Zero too.
