General Marvel Legends

Don't get me started on Barry and Hal--my 2 favorite DC characters...

Anywho, I just got my $25 Agent/Sentry set (thanks, Target!). Is Sentry's torso the 1st male figure to have the pec swivel?

Just talking with a friend who's a comics historian about some of the pleasantly weird characters we've gotten recently (came up cos Warbow is shipping from some places at the moment) and he's all up for a dire wraith. I'm trying to imagine what a dire wraith would even look like in action figure format...

Also, not to beleaguer a DC convo in the Marvel thread, but I feel like people who truly, not ironically, hate G'nort are the types of people golden retrievers growl at when they come to visit.

ToyBiz past has an answer, in this unreleased prototype from the 90s:

That is pretty cool.

Unreleased ToyBiz prototype reminds me - I wish we would get the X-Babies - I thought we might once the Mojo set was released.

Yes! What is Clayburn Moore up to after all these years?

I'm always tempted to buy his Vampirella, especially when I realized I have a really good spot for that orange moon variant stand...
From his Facebook page:

"I was doing freelance for DST when NECA bought them ad shut them down. I'll write more about that later, but yes, I'm still planning to continue working. In fact, two of my last projects for DST will not be produced because of DST being shut down. Just write to [email protected]. I'll write you back.

Steve Gouge commented on this project and asked if I'm still working on new stuff. Please see my response to him. The reason I'm going over past projects is because I have a wealth of projects I did for DST that show in progress shots and I hope ppl find them interesting. My intent is to show these projects, but also to talk about what it's like to be in this business and give ppl some insight into the ups and downs of being a sculptor of comics characters pretty much since its inception. There have been so many changes in sculpting/rendering technology and that has had profound effects on the industry. I'd like to talk about all of this, but for now I'm showing projects regularly to build up my viewing base. I'd like to thank all of you who have stayed with me so far. I have a lot more coming up to show, but also to say about the industry as it has changed. And I'll answer any questions about anything, controversial or not. I'm not known for being shy about my opinions."

Heheheh if I were in charge of Marvel toys, we’d be on like our 10th version of Dracula.

“Oooh can’t wait to pick up that two-pack of Blade in his 90s biker look vs Dracula in that outfit he got at the end of ‘Tomb of Dracula: Day of Blood! Night of Redemption!’ and wore for only like two issues!!”
😁

Don’t worry: you’d still get Avengers and stuff.
Man....I really wish you were in charge! I'd be SO down for both of those figures.

If I was in charge, there would have been an entire supernatural mystics & monsters subline running for years! Collectors would be debating if the alternate Bill Sienkiewicz head sculpt packed in with Maximum Dracula is better than the previously released Dracula figure with his look from Uncanny X-Men #159. There would be arguments as to whether the first appearance Satana figure is superior to the modern look figure. Geeks would be asking if we really need three different figures of the Living Mummy in the line.
That bites.
One of the things I think is cool about Green Lantern is that everyone can have “their” GL. For me that is *definitely* Alan, but, like, hey, if other folks dig Jessica, or Simon, or John, or Guy, or Kyle, or Hal, or friggin’ Kilowog or even G’nort, that’s neat!
Whenever I hear a debate in a comic shop about whether Hal, John, Kyle, Guy or whoever was the "superior" Lantern I always chime in with "Kilowog is the one true Green Lantern", which always led to a funny, stunned second of silence. Maybe Kilowog and G'nort aren't your favorite...but saying anything negative about either just seems wrong to anyone with a soul, so it tends to cause a moment where geek brains short out like a 1960's sci-fi computer. Also, Kilowog IS the best Lantern.

I'd honestly take both the "male" and "female" forms for the Dire Wraiths in figure form .

Only serial killers and MAGA supporters don't like G'nort. It's a scientific fact!
