General Marvel Legends

Loved the reveals today. I think I’m in for everything. Of course War Machine is now my most wanted. Looks amazing! Always loved playing as both War Machine and Omega Red.

Pleasantly surprised that Shuma is that large, given his game version was pretty much the size of a human character and wouldn't have been happy with that size in the comic line. Will be getting that one for sure, pretty much the last figure I really wanted for a small Doctor Strange shelf - they've filled in nicely over the last few years with classic Clea and Wong. Wish we'd get a Mindless One BAF single release.

So, I know this is a minor complaint, but I still think it's bullshit that Walmart puts up exclusives on the Thursday of ComicCon... they did it last year too, and its annoying. For those of us attending the show its an extra nuissance to have to remeber to log in and try to secure this from WalMart while I'm waiting in line to get in to the Con.

At least this year the exclusive is the one of these I want least.

This is going to sound extremely old, and for that I apologize.

I hope the next Juggernaut we get is an old-school, lil Juggernaut.

Had my preorder cancelled this morning and I missed the news that he was back up and now of course, he's sold out. What is this garbage about having to preorder things multiple times? I really hate Walmart.

And why wasn't it cancelled for everyone? It makes no sense whatsoever.
Did those who had their orders canceled pay with Paypal? That was the reason there was a partial cancelation before and I've since stopped using Paypal for preorders at WM.

No, I don't use PayPal for preorders.

I think I know the reason this happened to me — I found the sweet new McFarlane Cyborg Superman at a local store on Sunday night and now my Walmart karma has swung the other way. Usually it means one of their cheap paper bags giving out in the middle of the parking lot or something, but this time it cost me Spidey.

Not to mention, it's still just another cheap clip-on shield. I will never be happy with a clip-on shield. I want a Cap with a shield that has a strap to hold (like the MCU figures), that has a ball peg chest, and butterfly joints. Ideally with scales on his chest, but honestly, if they could nail those three things, I'd happily buy any deco.

I'd bet they think your suggestion is too limiting since you can't mount those shields on Cap's back like you can with the peg/clip combo, and to be fair I haven't seen any other company design a better solution. Medicom Mafex Cap figures do both, but they do it with a separate clear adapter that attaches to the back that fits into both straps and is quite difficult to work with.

Whatever the ideal design is for a shield that can both be held and mounted on the back has yet to be made. The clip/peg combo would be the best if it didn't break so easily and so often. The ones where they don't use stiff plastic seem to mostly work well, but those are also usually injected molded and sometimes have swirly-twirly lines on the clip that break REALLY easily. So we're left with no ideal solution but one that is good only when it doesn't break.

Didn't the original Toybiz Cap have stretchy straps that you could put around his arms or around his shoulders for a back hold? That would be ideal imo.

Marvel Select Cap has the best shield set up I can think of. The shield consists of a small disc that can be worn on the shoulders with straps, and an alternate small disc that can be strapped to the arm/held by a grip hand. Those two set ups can be plugged onto either his round shield or his original triangular shield.

Don't have him, but that sounds like a great setup.

I never owned the Select Cap but it's always been on my radar.

Honestly, I think Hasbro's hinged wrist clamp/back peg is pretty practical and functions well.

I don't. I have at least a half-dozen shields with snapped/broken wrist pegs rendering them useless.
