General Marvel Legends

Cap is getting a non-fucked shield in addition to overall improved articulation and proportions. He has the inverted ab. I'm gonna need an inverted Ab version with scales at some point.

Thanos has a styled head and more comic accurate colors (to panels I have in my head) - and it's an improvement over the odd smile/open mouth head of the last version. Plus pinless.

Wolverine.... I mean, we'll see how the elbows do for range of motion, but that is THE bulky body from the 90s. Perfect. Inverted ab crunch as well which needs to be a standard for him. I could see that being the base for a Maximum version with less flared mask and boot fins, and regular claws. Same for Cap actually, with scales.

I know I'm in a salty mood, but let me be perfectly clear:

Hasbro, the next Psylocke I want to see is Outback Armor.
No more updates to the same costume and figure you've been cranking out for 15+ years now.
Agreed. It's time.

But I'm so happy we got this update. It was needed.

I think for a lot of people, this is the "Last Psylocke they'll ever need" on the way to the Outback look. This is a very dramatic improvement over the Jim Lee releases previously. A lot of these updated bodies are skewing closer to Maximum levels of articulation. I wonder if that's because the mandate was to be able to match the game poses, or it's a mantra for the line going forward in general.

I believe the current Wolverine and Juggernaut bodies are almost nine years old. I expected updates, but I didn't think they'd be so nice. The sculpted detail on Juggernaut's torso is a nice touch.

I feel like Betsy has been getting ‘close enough’ figures for a while, but this is one that finally fires on all cylinders - I can happily call it a day on her now. They really need to similarly nail Iceman…

Surprised by how much I want that Wolverine - the deep crouch and slashy effects are really doing it for me. The extreme headfins are a bit much, but I totally get why they’re there.

Juggs and Shuma continue to be astonishing. The sheer number of posing possibilities those tentacles offer blows my mind.

May be down for that Juggernaut. And I will finally be able to retire my Marvel Select Thanos from my Legends display? Keeping Death out, though. :)

That's a neat looking Wolverine. They basically did what I expected by making him very game-like while most of the other figures stay close to their comic look. The single jointed elbows aren't a huge deal to me because the current Wolverine arms with double joints really don't bend much past 90 anyway given how large his biceps are. Still, they probably should have just given him double joints. Not really interested in Silver Samurai though so I don't know if I'll ever get this Wolverine. I know they went darker on Samurai to differentiate him from a previous release, but he was almost white in the games so I wish they did the opposite. The gamerverse stuff sometimes features some weird pricing so I'm curious what these will cost. Maybe I talk myself into that set for Wolverine, and maybe Juggernaut because he just looks cool and I doubt I ever get a more animated Juggernaut for my animated display. If I can't get that, might as well go the complete other direction and get the massive video game-inspired version.

Psylocke is ALMOST perfect - wish she had a flowing sash, but I get that's not accurate to the Game Which Shall Not Be Referenced.

I still need a Crimson Dawn head for her, though.

Wolverine's slash effects are more exciting to me than the figure.

Cap looks great and I like the power effect. Omega and War Machine are pretty but unnecessary. Venom is blue. Could use an extra Samurai for an Animated shelf so great. Juggernaut is a huge improvement - literally. Now I'll never sell off my extra 80th for a good price...

On the FF front, wish Johnny's hair was accurate. I get it - they work from provided concept art. BUT - Marvel really should update said art when cameras start rolling, especially because hair on characters changes so frequently. It's only respectful to your business partners. But, least this version looks less like a blonde Freddie Prinze Jr.

Maybe HERBIE and Franklin are coming with Invisible Sue? That would be a good value pack.

Also, whoever said new characters should be a 2:1 ratio to re-done characters - that would be great. Seconded. When the things I'm most hyped for on new releases are the power accessories, we have a situation.
