General Marvel Legends

Shocked at how big of an improvement that Psylocke is. Betsy looks awesome! A definitive must for my X-Men collection.

As far as updates go, that Wolverine and Cap base bodies are pretty incredible. Psylocke too is better than I was expecting. These are some of the nicest versions we've ever seen. Imagine those single card retro packs with these versions - how well that wave would sell. I definitely need 2 Wolverines... maybe 3 (fuck)... 2 Caps... 2 Psylockes... Hopefully I can recoup a little bit by selling the duplicates of the 2nd character. Thanos is great though, I'll be happy to have 2.

The Capcom Marvel Superheroes game was a real gateway to Marvel for me, so being able to get a complete line-up has long been a dream.

This line is going to be so awesome - can’t wait to line them all up together.

Tempted to pick up a spare Doctor Doom and give him a lighter paint job - that’s really all we’re missing now.

Psylocke is the winner. Really don't need another Thanos or Silver Samurai, but I'll always take a Wolverine.

Gargantos is the only figure for me.
Tired of updates.

Agreed on the updates. I'm so tired of buying more updates than original figures, even if there are some decent updates in this group. I'm at the point in my collecting where I really want a 2:1 new character to update ratio (or better) and I'm probably buying 5 re-do's/updates to every new character right now. I don't like that at all.

I missed the Capcom game boat so I don't have nostalgia for it, but there's some SERIOUSLY nice improvements to a lot of characters in that line. Psylocke is an immediate pickup, and Juggernaut with butterfly joints looks great. I wasn't sure I needed Cap but I like to have both scale-mail AND non-armored versions of him and the butterfly joints are really appealing (though I don't need Blue Venom... although every time I say I don't need a Venom I eventually pick one up and am like: this is a fun figure).

In theory, I do not need a new Wolverine or Silver Samurai. In practice, I have never NOT bought a new Wolverine, so I know I'm going to have to get that set too.

The FF - no notes, looks like a beautiful wave, would preorder immediately.

My only concern with the FF wave is that Ben's costume is based on some early promo art, and he never actually wears that on screen. The inevitable re-do watch will officially be on. Never thought I'd say this, but I prefer his look with the boots and top.

What the heck guys?!? I post about this wave in the Gamerverse thread because that's how their packaged and I look again and it's just my post still. Now I see you all posting here. I thought I was with a smarter bunch... ;) 😆

My own criteria is that the articulation has to be significantly enhanced to buy an update, or it has to come with an accessory that's worth the price I'd have to pay to get that same accessory from a third-party customizer who tend to charge $20 to $40 for something like a custom painted head.

Taking Silver Samurai as an example I may end up wanting him just for that extra head and the lightning charge effect. That giant shuriken effect isn't a lure for me...it kinda looks dumb in the game so it also looks dumb as an action figure accessory. Taking Cap as another example I see nothing on him I want, and the same currently goes for Omega Red, Thanos, and War Machine.

But of course they complicated this by putting them into 2-packs so right now I have no idea which I'll be getting.

Oh damn, didn't realize the whole MvC wave of 2pks was revealed. Cap looks great, even without the scales. Venom.. Don't know if I need a blue Venom. War Machine and Omega Red aren't doing much for me. Juggernaut looks insane.

The two-packs, while a VERY obvious theme for a gamerverse set like this, really does complicate the buying. I don't want another Thanos, but I need Betsy. I'd skip Venom but want the Cap. I'd love to mix and match more. Hell, I'd buy two Betsies immediately so I can display her with multiple expressions, but I don't need two more Thanos. Thanoi? Thanoses?

If price hikes are happening (hoping the cancelled tariffs stop that), hiding really wanted figs behind a 2nd figure paywall really sucks.
