I'll take either way. They'll lose me if the likenesses lean manga.
I don't want cel shading, either.I've been wondering the same. Will they be based on the iconic character art or in-game models?
I don't want cel-shading or the like.
Despite my curiosity, I own Cable and Marrow so I'm going to have to assume it's going to be more in the traditional style since those were clear plays into the roster.Based on what little we've seen teased, I don't think there will be cell shading. I don't know how Hasbro has perceived the general feedback on the cel shading paint apps up to now... but hopefully they realize it's best avoided the way they're doing it. I'd be happiest if the figures don't stand out from the rest of the line, so anime head sculpts would be a disappointment for me. I don't mind if they give Wolverine's cowl more dramatic fins or whatever to match the art... but I don't love how the X-Men 97 aesthetic really fit with the rest of the line. Fine for those who want X-Men 97 only or animated shelves... but if these are dramatic improvements (especially for Cap, Psylocke and Wolverine) it would be a shame if the heads made them essentially incompatible with the rest of my main collection.

Yeah, while I like the Capcom art, I also get wanting to update some of these characters for the general collection. That is my hope too. Ideally they will bring out Cable and Marrow as lead ins to the announcement and the new figures are compatible.
After the image Hasbro put out, it would be... insane to not reveal the FF figures. To say there would be a significant backlash would be an understatement. After seeing Dwight's post on Twitter where he "set expectations" and just showed the feet of Wolverine and Silver Sammy, now I'm wondering if we'll see the Fantastic Four movie figures at all, or if it'll just be these MvC figures. They could still fall under that "team" tease that Pulse made a week or so ago. That would be a big bummer; I know the movie is still about 2 months away, but with Funko unveiling their product so far out, I'd be surprised if Hasbro was treated any differently. It's not like we don't know what any of the characters look like. They do technically have time to unveil them before the movie, but I'm just dying to see what they look like and to know when they're coming.
