G.I. Joe Reaction+

The latest wave went up for order today. I’m a little surprised that they’re making Flash. Why’s he relevant? I honestly have no memory of him from the show.
 
I think he was in the first five parter and an early animated commercial, but I share your question. I only ordered Daina. I never had a Hydro Viper, but this doesn't really look like I remember him.
 
Flash is probably included because he is easy reuse to make Grand Slam and he is an OG13 character which probably has a stronger fan base for ReAction+ figures.

This version of Hydro Viper is from the comics. I forget which one, I think Action Force or some other international comic. Just Super7 doing their usual deep cut offering. Also gives them another easy reuse to go with the original look down the road.
 
I am in extreme cherry picking mode with this line. I have the characters from the Movie that have never been made in O-ring style before (Pythona, mutated CC, Big Lob), but had to pass on the "movie accurate" re-releases like Falcon and Jinx. Chuckles is the most tempting so far but............but (looks at his avatar and realizes).....OK, I might have to get Chuckles. Flash and Hydro Viper are a pass. I'll probably get Diana.

Edit: After checking current prices.......Christ, $25 each now. I may just have to call it.
 
Is the Ultimates line definitely dead? Sorry, I realize this question doesn't fit here, but I didn't see a thread for the Ultimates line (maybe because it's dead?). I just bought a couple of the figures on deep discount on bbts and curious if there's any chance more characters could get made. My sleuthing online didn't provide an immediate clear answer.

So yeah, Joe Ultimates seemingly are dead.

I put on my Dr. Frankenstein lab coat and was wondering if NECA could release Deluxe versions of some of the missing characters to help the line feel more complete at the end. Then I looked up Deluxe prices and realized they're still $35 figures. I like that the Ultimates line matched the cartoon style for characters, but I couldn't get behind the $55 price tag for the inconsistent QC the company is known for. $35 is probably still too pricey for me and others. I guess I should just let the dead lie still.
