G.I. Joe Head Canon & Fanfic Filecards

Yeah, agreed with the sentiment of 'did not expect that, but it's fantastic.' I really love the idea of RP being both exactly as bad as he seems, and simultaneously not nearly as bad as he seems. Can you see RP dying as he throws himself in front of a kid that got caught up in their nonsense during a shootout? I can NOW, but couldn't even twenty minutes ago. That's why the world needs writers.
They find him riddled with bullets with Rawkus under his body when the Dreadnoks base ends up in a firefight. Mutt adopts Rawkus to make up for the death of someone who wasn't too different from him but just lived live in a different order.
Exactly, yeah. Can't say why but she is who I thought.
I think Zarana is always watching. She probably knows more insightful shit about everyone than anyone would want her to, but because she's outwardly so prickly nobody knows it until she needs to use it as a weapon.

Comic Zarana always knew Road Pig was infatuated with her, but never returned the affection. I bet she has a soft spot for him even though she knows showing it would give him the wrong idea.
If I were writing this as a comic I'd want to mirror Zarana/Road Pig with Cover Girl / Crank Case for "smart, beautiful woman and her fully platonic cranky dude best friend" I think.

In honor of @Ru1977 's character of the day poll:

Code Name: Zandar
File Name: Unknown
Primary Military Specialty: Infiltration
Secondary Military Specialty: Assassination/Sabotage
Birthplace: Unknown
Rank: N/A

Subject was one of the few Dreadnoks the Lewis administration had hoped to keep on retainer after cutting ties with the biker gang. Where his brother and sister stepped into the shadows after breaking ties with Cobra, Zandar remained with the gang as its nominal leader - it was believed he saw an opportunity to increase the scope of his influence and take control of the rabble in the absence of his brother's leadership or direction from the Cobra organization. While the Dreadnoks have become aimless and even more anarchic than before following their break with Lewis, Zandar manages to target their chaos to an extent though to what aim is still unclear. Quietly, he does take one-off assignments off the books for the administration through an intermediary, primarily wet work and sabotage.

"Zandar thought everyone betrayed the Dreadnoks, our older brother included. Thought Zartan just walked away and abandoned their brotherhood. Zartan had a plan, of course, but he didn't share that with Zandar and it's quite possible that was by design - the Dreadnoks are still a powerful weapon under Zandar's leadership, something he rarely had the opportunity to demonstrate in his brother's shadow. There's a simmering rage in Zandar now, though - he feels like Lewis treated the Dreadnoks with disrespect, that he considered him a knockoff version of our brother, that they were all left to twist in the wind when Lewis went legitimate. I don't think he's wrong, really, but I think he's part of a bigger game he doesn't fully understand. The Dreadnoks have a larger role in what's to come, and Zandar is positioned to be there when it happens."

Heh nice!

But great job of acknowledging Zandar as being easily reduced to a pale imitation of Zartan then painting him as his own person even if he's an angrier version. Also exciting to get that hint at what's to come!

Your poll got me thinking about how he's the least cool of the siblings and how that's not particularly fair, so what could set him apart? If Zartan is pretending to be some kind of Trickster god, maybe his brother stays rooted with his boots on the ground, looking out for the 'noks Lewis has cut loose.

Feels like I haven't done a "good" guy in a few posts:

Code Name: Wreckage (Disavowed)
File Name: Moreno, Dillon L.
Primary Military Specialty: Demolitions
Secondary Military Specialty: Jungle Warfare Instructor
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California
Rank: E-5

Out of all the former GI Joe Unit veterans currently in the continental United States, Moreno is among the most-wanted. His activities following the unit's disbandment go beyond fomenting discontent and do not simply verge on active terrorism - it is the textbook definition of it. In hindsight, allowing a demolitions expert - and one who seems to actively enjoy the task - to walk free was a mistake, but administration agents had no idea the man would take things as far as he has. The subject chooses his targets with care to avoid civilian casualties but shows no restraint when it comes to the actual damage he inflicts. He has made at current count four government buildings entirely unusable due to structural damage; destroyed an entire presidential motor pool (while the vehicles were unoccupied), and while he was not able to damage Air Force One, he destroyed the tarmac around it, grounding the plane until the area is repaired enough to allow it to take off. Moreno is no longer under surveillance and his whereabouts are unknown, but he is kill on sight with great prejudice.

"Wreckage is stressing Hawk out. We've got ex-Joes doing some pretty subversive stuff, but we're trying to keep things low-key until we're ready to make a big move. Wreckage has gone full scorched earth. We're trying to rein him in. He's a good man at heart, he's just angry and when you only have a hammer every problem is a nail. His hammer is C-4. Fortunately the administration doesn't see a benefit in naming an ex-Joe as the guy who blew up a couple of empty government buildings, yet, but he's either going to become a scapegoat for Lewis's own dirty deeds at some point, or he's going to become a noose they'll try to hang the rest of us with. Hawk is one more explosion away from asking Snake Eyes to step in, but nobody wants that. Especially not Wreckage."

God.... Damn. Another outstanding one! Love it. Love that there is at least one guy who went on his own program and is still responsible but channeling his rage. So glad i have his figure already heh.

It's funny, Wreckage just sprang up out of nowhere looking at your last list of guys I hadn't done yet and I was like oh, he DEFINITELY is blowing shit up. I always saw Wreckage as "what if the Joes had their own Firefly and he was MARGINALLY more in control?" So what happens when you have your own Firefly and then you don't have that control anymore?

Yeah, its a perfect set-up. I used to have a best friend named Moreno in middle school, he was Cuban and a huge Joe fan as we all were at the time, but that made him standout even more than just an angry looking guy in a cool mask.

Also apparently I have a thing for the ski mask dudes cos Beachhead wwaaaaay back in the beginning was bumping off corrupt politicians, too. (I don't foresee Wolf Spider doing that though.)

I think you're right. And WS is really cool because he's a helicopter search and rescue guy, i think?
